Blue Exorcist Season 4: Gets Fall 2024 Release Window!
It’s 2024, and Rin Okumura is ready to take down his own brother, Yukio Okumura, in the fall. Confused? Well, your favorite exorcist is gearing up for their return with Blue Exorcist Season 4. That’s right! It’s been only four months, and we are pleased with the jaw-dropping news of the year. But wait! Will this season be the final season? There are plenty of questions running back of the fans’ minds. But you can breathe a sigh of relief. That’s because we have got you covered. Based on Kazue Kato’s manga series, Blue Exorcist revolves around Rin Okumura, who discovers that he is Satan’s son. The news undoubtedly is hotly anticipated, and fans have been looking forward to it.
With such amazing news, fans are delighted with another jaw-dropping update. That event further confirmed that the fourth season will be split into two cours. Yes, you read that right! The anime will return with two cours. The first cour will return as a part of the Fall 2024 anime schedule, while the second cour information has yet to be disclosed. As soon as the anime committee revealed that the fourth season was on its way, it also dropped the first teaser trailer. Well, fans have been waiting for this update. While the trailer didn’t reveal much about Blue Exorcist Season 4, it did suggest what fans can expect from the next season. The key poster depicts Rin Okumura and his brother Yukio Okumura standing against each other. Rin is standing on the right side, holding his Koma sword, while his brother is standing on the left side with his gun.
The trailer further hints that the Exwire leader is injured. While the reason behind this animosity remains unclear, the saga is going to explore Yukio’s conflict. He will doubt his identity, which will create more complications between the brothers. Meanwhile, the trailer teases that the Exwire team and its leader, Rin, will confront the most challenging situation. A-1 Pictures produced the first two seasons of Blue Exorcist. However, the studio later didn’t return with more seasons of the anime instead the third season was animated by Studio VOLN. Despite its great performance, it remains unclear when Bocchi The Rock! Season 2 will be released. Will it return this year? According to the official announcement, the two parts were titled “Re:” and “Re: Re.” Both parts have already been aired in Japanese theatres on June 7 and August 9, 2024. The official reports state that the compilation film has already become a major success.

On the opening weekend, the first film collected over 218 million yen (approx $1.48 million). Thus, it has marked the biggest-ever follow-up movie of the year. In fact, the series has surpassed many popular anime series. Its total domestic gross crossed 640 million yen ($4.35 million). The first film also received first place, according to Kogyo Tsushin. As for the second recap film, it ranked sixth in its debut week. Despite that, the film performed incredibly well. Chances For Bocchi The Rock! Season 2

But she managed to buy a new guitar with Kita’s help. If Bocchi The Rock! Season 2 returns, then it will undoubtedly focus on Bocchi’s struggle to overcome her social anxiety. With Kita’s help, things will become somewhat easy. It will also focus on her self-growth as an artist and a person.
Is There Enough Source Material?
As mentioned above, the anime is based on Aki Hamaji’s manga series Bocchi the Rock! It was serialized in December 2017 in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Max magazine. Since the series is ongoing, it doesn’t seem like there will be a scarcity of source material. As of now, it has been collected in six tankobon volumes. The first season covered only 20 chapters, which is one and a half volumes. Likewise, the movie has covered only one volume per part.
So, considering this, there are three more volumes left to be covered. Unlike other anime, which cover three to four volumes, Bocchi The Rock! only covers one volume per season, giving it ample source material to delve into. So, the second season could return. Another reason for its return is the anime’s success, which is highly reflected in its manga sales. As of January 2024, the manga had a total of 3 million copies in circulation. That’s great news, and this proves why the show should return.
