Attack on Titan Review - Historia (Season 2, Episode 5) (Season 1, Episode 1).

The shocking backstories of Ymir and Historia Reiss (originally introduced as Krista) were completely unexpected for both viewers. In this episode, the Scouts are trapped in a castle surrounded by bloodthirsty giants, and Ymir unleashes his giant powers to save them.

Ymir and Historia's relationship is strong and beautiful, and it becomes even stronger in a detailed flashback when the two young women exchange promises during training. The couple allows themselves to be vulnerable with each other, something they both have struggled with throughout their lives.
