Ban's personality

Ban「バン」is the Fox's Sin of Greed「強欲の罪, Fokkusu Shin」 of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Ban is shown to be a passionate person. He takes action based on what piques his interest, such as escaping from prison after hearing that his captain is alive and attempting to steal Meliodas' sword, the Dragon Handle, to discover why it is so important to him. He has shown some aspects of greed as well as selfish desire; however, he will stop his hand if given a good reason to stop. He has a strange habit of making singing tones while speaking, which he develops at an early age after being adopted by Zhivago.

Although he can be selfish and greedy, he is also shown to be caring, which is shown when he rushes to Elaine to save her despite being a "bad guy".

Ban is easily surprised and excited, as seen when he discovers Hawke's ability to speak and that the child he is fighting is actually a king. Also, when King transformed back into his previous, larger form, Ban was the only one who looked surprised. Ban has a deep hatred for the Demon Clan, holds a grudge against them for killing Elaine, and despises the very thought of resurrecting the Clan.

Ban seems to be behaving out of character from time to time. When Ban planned to find the Horn of Kernunos located beneath the Lion Kingdom's castle to revive Elaine, he planned to save the kingdom and receive the horn as a reward instead of stealing it for unknown reasons. Ban also told the other Deadly Sins not to go into Meliodas' past, as it was against their rules. Ban even told Meliodas that killing Dale as he was was the best thing for him and that he shouldn't be naive.
