Defining Nobita's Character
« on: December 28, 2023, 11:23:33 PM »
Nobita's characters are portrayed as lazy and disabled, including but not limited to lack of physical coordination or athleticism, laziness, unwillingness to engage in critical thinking, and sometimes childish or perverted behavior. He dislikes books and lacks basic knowledge to understand concepts such as the meaning of a solar eclipse. He often takes advantage of naps and is often called the "King of Heals." In a typical plot, Nobita asks Doraemon to lend him a gadget to get back at his classmates who bullied Gian and Sunio, to show off to his classmate and future lover Shizuka Minamoto, or to help him with his homework. Whenever Doraemon uses a gadget, he almost always abuses the gadget's power, causing its effects to backfire. He feels sorry for his classmate Hidetoshi Dekisugi, an outspoken student who is admired by all the girls in the class, including Shizuka. Nobita's day consists of being late for school, falling asleep in class, failing the exam, being scolded by the teacher, being laughed at by Gian and Zunio, falling into a puddle on the roadside, being chased by a dog, and being scolded. Her mother failed to complete her chores and was bullied by people she knew except Shizuka.

Although Nobita has many questionable character traits, he sometimes displays good qualities such as kindness, bravery, and a good work ethic. In other complete stories, he risked his life to help save others or entire civilizations. In some passages, it is said that his poor academic performance was due to laziness rather than a lack of intelligence. Nobita is known for his shooting skills and is good at the game Cat's Cradle, which is shown in several episodes. The character shows creativity in using Doraemon's gadgets in new ways. For example, in one scene, he found a way to use a "radio mirror" gadget to advertise, even though Dora A couldn't dream of a use for it. Other examples include his ability to use Doraemon's "wind power" to fly freely, create gusts of wind with a gentle wave, and use a sound softener that Doraemon considered useless. , transportation. Nobita's intelligence proves his superior intelligence. He knows a lot about science, nature and Doraemon's gadgets.

Despite his poor academic performance, Nobita can sometimes get good grades or do well on exams. Despite the many typos and grammatical errors, it was his imagination that allowed him to write a good story. Although he was not good at drawing, he still wrote a 32-page comic.
