Beginning of the Enemy Warriors Arc
The Enemy Warriors Arc is one of the epic stories in Dragon Ball FighterZ. It is one of the sub-saga stories along with the Super Warriors Arc, and both are prequels to the main Android 21 Arc, which reveals most of the story.
The story may progress slightly differently depending on whether the player chooses to start each rescue mission, starting with Goku and Frieza joining forces. Each section is in italics.
The chapter begins on New Namek, with Porunga telling Android 21 and Android 16 that "their wish has been granted". After Porunga disappears, Cell, Frieza, Nappa, and the Ginyu Force can be seen lying on the ground.
16 then wakes the player, introduces himself, and reveals that the player has a connection to Frieza. 16 then assures the player that all of this is real, but they were originally meant to be about Goku. Due to certain events, this did not happen. Suddenly, a voice comes out of nowhere, confusing the player, and 16 speculates that Frieza's consciousness has awakened. Depending on the player's choices, they can either ignore or greet Frieza.
Frieza communicates with the player on the spirit plane, demanding to know what's going on and saying that he's glad there's no parade like his hell out there. Frieza orders the player to obey him and tells them they'll regret it if they don't. 16 then interrupts from outside, telling Frieza that time is running out, and gives a brief explanation. Frieza thinks 16 is joking and fires an energy ball to attack the player, but is surprised to see nothing happen. 16 then tells Frieza that "creating craziness in your head won't change anything" and tells him to stop and listen. 16 tells Frieza that the only way to change the situation is for the player to take control of his body and make him go through as many battles as possible, thus increasing his strength. Frieza can't accept this and demands that the player give up control, suggesting that he can hurt the player on the spirit plane. Once in control, Frieza tries to attack 16, but nothing happens and he becomes angry. 16 explains that the power of the link only allows Frieza to move; his only hope is to leave the battle to the soul inside him. Frieza promises 16 that he will pay for sealing his power, but 16 reveals that even though he activated the Link System, Android 21 also sealed his power. Only she can break the seal. Frieza is in disbelief and tells the player that from now on, they serve Frieza.
As Nappa yells that he will destroy everything, Frieza arrives on the scene, noticing that Nappa looks a little different than the clones he fought previously. However, when Nappa yells at Frieza to tear him apart, Frieza says that he is just as stupid as the others and decides to go to war.
Frieza defeats him easily, noting that he has a certain skill to survive Frieza's attack, despite Frieza's hesitation. Nappa suddenly recognizes Frieza and asks for his forgiveness and introduces himself. Nappa apologizes again, saying that he does not recognize Frieza because he has changed his appearance since they last met. Frieza says that a servant's inability to recognize his master shows a lack of loyalty, which Nappa denies and says that he is willing to do anything for Frieza. Frieza then tells Nappa that he will dedicate his life to serving him.
Frieza then praises the fighting spirit within him and tells the player that if he can tap into more of his power, they can interrogate 16. Frieza goes on to say that 16 cannot be trusted and wonders if 16 might be hiding something. Frieza then states that 16 originally meant to bind his soul to "that Saiyan", and Nappa angrily asks if he is referring to Kakarot. Frieza then threatens to kill Nappa for saying this, but Nappa insists that he believes the soul within Frieza is speaking. Frieza then states that Nappa himself could be important in this matter, warning him of what would happen if he fails, and Nappa assures him that he will not let Frieza down. Frieza states that he has high hopes for Nappa.
Frieza and Nappa meet Captain Ginyu and his companions, and Frieza tells everyone that they are now working with him. Ginyu smiles and states that he will eliminate anyone who gets in his way, which makes Nappa very worried about his rudeness. Frieza decides to teach them a lesson, and the team is subsequently defeated. Ginyu falls to his knees before Frieza and begs him to forgive him, insisting that he was manipulated. Frieza doesn't believe him, but he knows he can use his soldiers.
