I just watch Attack on Titan because everyone kept telling me it was one of the greatest series ever made. I'm honestly confused and overwhelmed by how many layers the story seems to have even from the early episodes, and now I'm really curious about whether it's normal for new viewers to feel lost about the Titans' origin, the political tensions inside the walls, the motivations of characters like Eren, Mikasa, and Armin, and the way the show constantly hints at mysteries without explaining them right away.

On one hand I find the world extremely captivating and emotionally intense, but on the other hand I keep wondering if I'm missing something important when characters talk about freedom, humanity, sacrifice, and the symbolism behind the walls, and I'm also not sure if I should slow down and analyze what I'm watching or just continue and trust that the series will eventually explain the bigger picture.

Since I've noticed many people online saying the story becomes deeper and more surprising the further it goes, so I'm asking whether it's common for new viewers like me to have a million questions during the first season, especially about things like Titan behavior, military divisions, unexplained abilities, and hidden agendas, and whether I should approach this anime by focusing on the emotional journey, the action, the themes, or the puzzle-like storytelling, because right now I'm fascinated but also slightly intimidated by how much is happening at once.
