Title: My feeling as I watch My Hero Academia
Post by: DerekLarko on January 05, 2024, 06:23:17 AM
As a beginner who just started watching My Hero Academia, one thing I keep getting confused about is how the Quirk system manages to stay balanced when it feels like some characters have incredibly strong powers while others seem to have abilities that are either inconvenient or barely useful, and I'm curious about whether the show eventually explains how society has adapted to this level of superhuman diversity, especially considering how hero rankings, training programs, and school evaluations work, because while I understand that the story focuses on themes of hard work and personal growth.

I still sometimes struggle to figure out how certain characters like Midoriya, who starts with no Quirk at all, are supposed to compete realistically against classmates with abilities that seem way more naturally advantageous, and as someone new to anime I'm trying to understand whether this type of underdog storytelling is typical or if this series handles it in a unique way, and I also wonder how morality fits into the world of heroes and villains because the show hints at deeper issues like hero society being imperfect, villains having motivations that aren't purely evil, and the psychological pressure that comes with trying to become a top hero. What do you think?
