It has 51 episodes and was directed by Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino. The series first aired on Asahi TV (and its ANN stations). It is the fourth TV anime installment of the Gundam franchise, the first series of the franchise to air in Japan during the Heisei period, and the last complete series set in the Universal Centuries calendar.
The Victory Gundam is based in UC 0153 and is the successor to the mobile suit Gundam F91 of the Federation Forces and Crossbone Vanguard conflict. Still under the control of the much weaker Earth Alliance, Earth is under attack from the Bispa, an armed force based on the Zanskar Empire's space colony. Begin their attack on Earth.
