The team managed to capture them in the tunnel, giving them ample time to work on their bridge. The finale ended with Akira and his group working on constructing the bridge. Now, Zom 100 Season 2 can pick up from where it left off. Akira and his group will indeed manage to escape the village. Amid such a situation, Akira will also learn that his father isn’t infected and instead has hemorrhoids.
This discovery will help them with their upcoming challenges. However, after learning this, Akira might head back to rescue his dad. It can create complications between Akira and his group members. As the show progresses, it will also focus on the survivor’s goal. They are determined to escape the village and explore new opportunities. Is There Enough Source Material?
Haro Aso wrote Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, which Kotaro Takata illustrated. The manga has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Denge manga magazine since October 2018. As of June 2024, the anime has collected 17 tankobon volumes. Since the series is ongoing, there’s ample source material to develop Zom 100 Season 2. But one thing to remember is that the first season of anime has covered up to volume 7, chapter 22.
Since almost ten extra volumes are available, it won’t be challenging for the studio to return with Zom 100 Season 2. We expect the sophomore run to cover seven volumes, just like its previous season. If this is the case, more source material won’t be left to return with the third season. In that case, the studio house might have to wait until more chapters are available to cover. Zom 100 could also return with a feature film to give justice to the source material.
