« on: July 09, 2024, 02:08:35 AM »Krillin and Goku find Yamcha. Although he collapses, he manages to stay conscious, but just barely. Before they can tell him what happened, Yamcha's clone interrupts them. After defeating the clones, Yamcha joins Krillin and Goku.
Finding another ally in need of help, the team finds Dumpling standing over an unconscious Tian Xinfan, trying to protect him from the clones' approach. The team manages to interrupt the fight and rescue the pair. Tian Xinfan is taken to the ship where he recovers. Although Tian Xinfan is concerned for the Dumplings' safety, he allows his companions to accompany them on the journey.
In Chapter 4, Goku is on a boat with Krillin and Bulma; Goku praises the player for being a good warrior, while Krillin hopes that Android 18 and Malone are okay. Goku believes that they should be okay since Android 18 is stronger than Krillin. Goku and Krillin then sense an energy that appears to be Cell's energy, though it appears slightly smaller. They notice that they can't sense Cell's energy and think he must be a robot. Goku and Krillin go to investigate and find that Cell has defeated Android 18 and that the man they don't know is begging Cell to spare Number 18.
Krillin attacks Cell with a Destruction Disc, but the bio-cyborg dodges it. Goku is happy that Cell is back because now he can fight him again. Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan and fights Cell alongside Krillin, who is angry that Number 18 was injured.
Goku and Krillin defeat Cell, who complains of some kind of wave blocking his true power. He escapes using a solar flare.
Someone who was with Number 18 reveals that the Red Ribbon Army has returned. She is a Red Ribbon Army researcher working on the Red Ribbon Army's "Connection" technology - a technology that suppresses the powers of warriors, allowing souls to be implanted within them. The connection technology was improved a few days ago, and when the researcher realizes that the Red Ribbon Army wants to use it to rule the entire universe, she flees. During her escape, she meets Android 18 who helps her, and the two meet Charo. Android 18 sacrifices himself to protect the researchers. Goku and Krillin ask the researcher to return with them to see Bulma, but the researcher says she wants to return to her family.
Cell stands alone, angry that the team seems less powerful than him. Frieza appears and mocks him. Despite the two's agreement, Charo continues with his own plans. Frieza tells him that his team, the Gino Special Forces, has obtained information that could be useful to Cell.
Back on Bulma's ship, Piccolo telepathically contacts Goku to ask for his help. He senses the energy distortion and directs Bulma where to go.
Upon arrival, Goku and Krillin conduct a reconnaissance mission and find Piccolo lying on the ground. Before they can help him, more clones arrive. Like the rest of his teammates, Piccolo has been revived on Bran's ship. Rather than wait for an explanation, Piccolo reads Bulma's mind first to find the answer he wants. Bulma is not happy about this intrusion. Piccolo recognizes the player's spirit inside Goku and tells him that they need her help more than ever.
Bulma reveals that they are testing Android 18 at Capsule Corporation, but that she is physically fine. She should wake up soon. Piccolo expresses his concerns about Android 16's involvement in world affairs, refusing to believe that the sixteen people he knows would agree to any of the Red Ribbon Corps' plans. Bulma wonders if the Number 16 they encountered is some sort of clone, another body that holds the memories of the original Number 16.
Gohan is lying in the middle of the street, with Goku by his side. Goku, Krillin, and Piccolo land next to him to check if he is okay. Piccolo orders Goku to take Gohan to safety while he deals with the approaching clones, but Goku has already used teleportation to transport Gohan to the ship and back, ready to fight. When Gohan wakes up, he apologizes to the player's spirit for participating in the fight.
Goku, Krillin, and Piccolo arrive at the wasteland, outside of which there is a rock formation that appears to have an entrance. Piccolo surmises that this is the Red Ribbon Corps' base. Android 16 emerges from the shadows and jumps down to confront them. Krillin asks him if he has any memories of the past. Rather than directly confirming that he still has those memories, Android 16 lets Krillin make assumptions. After being defeated, Android 16 reveals that he cannot leave the military because he wants to prevent "that monster" from running amok. He reveals that he was Android 21, the commander of the military. He obeyed Android 21's orders, though her personality became more aggressive by the day. Android 21 then floats down from above. Krillin immediately recognizes her as the "researcher" Android 18 who is meant to be rescued. Android 21 can decide whether or not 18 will wake up.
