J-Power may close up to five coal power plants by fiscal 2030

Japan's Electric Power Development (J-Power) said on Thursday it may close up to five low-efficient coal-fired power generation units by the 2030 financial year ending March 2031, as part of its efforts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
