Sanrio, Pingu BV, and Taito announced a collection of four Pingu x Tuxedo Sam plush toys, with the penguin stuffed animals debuting in "late" November 2025. They'll be prizes in Japanese arcades. It's unknown if we could also see them worldwide, though sometimes places like Crunchyroll offers them in the US later.
The original reveal of this collection confirmed three characters are part of it, and those same three are all present here. There are two versions of Tuxedo Sam stuffed animals. A navy blue one will be holding Pingu's face and a sky blue one will hold Pinga. The Pingu and Pinga plush each are wearing hats based on the Sanrio mascot's sailor cap and will be holding the Sanrio penguin's face.
Here's the official teaser image for the collection:

This is the second collection of Pingu x Tuxedo Sam merchandise, as Taito previously released other items based on the Sanrio and cartoon penguins in arcades in 2025. Those involved a pair of pillows with the animals on them. We saw those debut in August 2025.
The new Pingu x Tuxedo Sam plush will debut in Japanese arcades in November 2025, and we'll have to wait and see if we see the stuffed penguins show up everywhere eventually.

The gaming industry has always been quick to try new technology. Now, however, the current wave of Digital Transformation (DX) feels different — deeper, structural, and wide-reaching. This isn't just prettier polygons or a new controller. It's a change in how games are built, delivered, played, and even paid for. Cloud servers, artificial intelligence, new…

The PS Store has revealed the initial list of games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in December 2025 as the November lineup has begun rolling out in regions where it’s Tuesday, the 18th. As accurately predicted, Forspoken and Battlefield 2042 are among the games that will be leaving next month.
The following list of departures has been taken from the Japanese PS Store. Expect other regions to have the same list when their respective stores update.
The games listed above will leave around the middle of December, when next month's Extra and Premium lineups are added to the catalog. We’ll update the list if more games are added to PS Store’s Last Chance to Play section.
Replacing these games is a widely criticized lineup headlined by repeat title GTA V. Premium/Deluxe users, too, have been left disappointed once again, as only one classic has been added to the catalog — a pattern that we expect to see a repeat of in December.
Don’t forget that two weeks from now, PS Plus Extra and Premium users will be able to play the upcoming PS5 port of Red Dead Redemption at no additional cost.

No current anime leaves me as conflicted as Wandance. Not even close. The writing is tremendously authentic, and the characters some of the most relatable and interesting around. And then it runs headlong into… the other thing. I just feel as if every time I want to embrace it with abandon, we hit that brick wall and all I get out of it is a headache. If I’m honest this episode was better than some in that sense – to a degree. But given the context that only gets you so far.
Given that this was the first competition episode, the wooly mammoth in the room couldn’t be ignored. The piper was going to be paid, plain and simple, As good as the buildup might be – as invested in the outcome as it makes you – that moment still has to sell itself. There’s no net. And again, the buildup was excellent. Wanda’s confides in Kabo that she wants to be “one of a kind” – or maybe just the best in the world. Like Michael. Those two aren’t the same, exactly, but we can forgive a 16 year-old girl a little imprecision when the impulse is a pure-hearted as this was.
The event in question is the “High School Dance Convention” – which I’m assuming is an actual thing, more or less. Lost of schools are involved – more than 25 anyway, as that’s Ichirin’s number. Some big-name judges are on-hand too, including a well-known hip hop dancer named Assay (Kobayashi Chikahiro). Wanda immediately catches his eye, but his encounter with Kabo is memorable for another reason as the latter is unable to get his respectful greeting out. Wanda always tries to rescue him with an explanation in these situations – she does later when Iori-kun shows up – but she’s not in earshot.
Kabo’s comrades are worried that he might have pissed off the judge, but as it turns out that might not have been a bad thing to happen, as Assay certainly remembered him (and his performance would seal the deal). The other teams are an interesting mix of styles, but Iori – who definitely knows his shit – reassures the fans that only two schools have any shot. He also notes that stuff like making sure the sound is perfect and accounting for the lag in reaching the back of the large auditorium are overlooked by most schools. What he doesn’t say is that he was the one who set up the sound for Ichirin’s performance – surely a clue that he’s much more invested in On-sempai and the club than he lets on.
My suspicion is that Iori has recused himself because he doesn’t work well in the team concept – that his presence would hurt the club’s chances, not help them (the fact that he won the individual award the year prior certainly doesn’t refute that). It’s time for Ichirin to go on, and for viewers to literally face the music. There’s no hiding what happens next – that performance has to command the screen, and for a good several minutes too. Here’s where the anvil this series is carrying around really weighs it down the heaviest, and what a shame that is.
Still, it’s not entirely a tragic moment. My general ignorance of dance and the visuals are kind of a double-whammy for me. But I think even I can see that Ichirin is doing something different here. Their song is a cut above, first of all, and they seem to be immersing themselves in it like none of the other schools we witnessed. There’s no sense of trying to outshine the music – in fact their performance is pretty understated compared to what we saw before. But they somehow seem to fit better. On is clearly the headliner, but to my untrained eye it seems like she gives the spotlight to Kabo and Wanda, mostly. And I fully agree with the friend group in the crowd – those two look great together.
Iori says that “intensity” is Kabo’s strength as a dancer. I don’t pretend to understand the medium well enough to really grasp what that means in practical terms. But this climactic moment does manage to evoke something in me, despite fighting with one hand tied behind its back (fortunately the same cannot be said of Wanda). And that’s testament to both the choreography and to the grunt work that was done in the first five episodes to make it really mean something.

So the Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree manga is a gag manga, which means that while it does cover lots of events from the game and feature familiar characters, it's going to get extremely goofy. Here's the thing. Along the way, the bumbling lead character actually does start to "get good." It's fascinating! While some of it does seem like a means of Nikiichi Tobita doing so in order to ensure we can see later quests and bosses, by volume 7 it also feels like part of it mirrors the idea that anyone, with a lot of effort and skill, could make any build and approach work in the actual game. This is because this volume deals with Aseo starting Ranni's questline in order to get the Cursemark of Death.
To fully understand how great the development of Aseo is as a character in the Elden Ring manga, you really need to grasp how it started. In the first volume, he begins as The Wretch. He's running around in a loincloth. His intelligence stat is abysmal, even after Melina attempts to help with that. He doesn't know how to use his potions. He dies. A lot. It almost feels like a miracle that he even makes it through the first two volumes, to be honest. If the Godrick the Grafted fight didn't involve a crafting contest at one part, he might not have!

But after that win, we start to see a change. He's still a mess by the third volume. However, Aseo catches the attention of Ranni. She asks him to become a Carian Knight, though he refuses. He's still so weak that can't equip the armor she offers, due to the equip load, and can only take the pants. But he starts learning about Runes. He gets to the Raya Lucaria Academy. He's tasked with getting the Great Rune from Rennala.
It's once he gets to that point that Aseo starts to feel like he could actually be a reliable hero in the Elden Ring manga. He's able to survive the Rennala encounter, besting Moongrum in the process. We learn actual insights about the Queen of the Full Moon in a way that makes her sympathetic. When it comes to the Starscourge Radahn fight, Aseo is absolutely a dork and remains comic relief. Other characters put him in danger for their own safety/amusement. But he survives the fight and they all win. It's a big deal!
Which means once he gets to the events of volume 7 and is trying to get the Cursemark of Death. It's like we're seeing now that he is getting on a path that could actually lead to one of the major endings. He's getting sent to Nokron with Blaidd. He actually faces the Mimic Tear boss and, through his own unique methods and logic, wins against a replica of himself. He does get a weapon, outsmart an opponent, and get what he's looking for.
I get that Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree wouldn't be all that interesting if it was too silly and Aseo was dying all the time, but now that we're so many volumes into it, it really is clear how clever Nikiichi Tobita's development is. It hits major story beats. Aseo still remains a goof. But he also becomes gradually more competent. He manages to accomplish some pretty great things, while making us laugh about it along the way.
Volume 7 of Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree is available now, and Yen Press will release volume 8 on March 24, 2026.
