The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2: In Production! Will Return In 2025!

Prime Video’s The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy has already wrapped up, but fans are clamoring to know what is next aligned for them. The show is definitely the best-animated series ever. Guess what? The streaming platform has already released the fate of The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2. In fact, the series showrunner is planning to return with more seasons. So, without further ado, let’s see what is cooking for us.

Created by Cirocco Dunlap, The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy is a sci-fi medical comedy set in the year 14002. It focuses on two female alien surgeons, Dr. Klak and Sleech. As the series progresses, it explores how these doctors treat patients with various illnesses. It also deals with mental health issues and how things turn challenging.

The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2 Is Renewed

Amazon Prime Video’s The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy premiered on February 23, 2024, and shortly made hype around the adult animated sci-fi series fans. The series took the audience to Galaxy’s exploration and how the aliens deal with everyday life, especially anxiety-related problems. While the animated series explored a fresh perspective on mental health issues, fans are clamoring for the second season.

But you don’t have to fret anymore! That’s because Prime Video has already renewed the series for the second season. That’s right! The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2 is happening. The streaming platform renewed the series for the second season ahead of the first season premiere. Initially, The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy was ordered to be a series of 16 episodes. However, the first season only released eight episodes.

Showrunner Cirocco Dunlap said they didn’t want to develop the show as a single 16-episode series. Hence, they split the series into two halves. Fans can rest assured that The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2 will soon hit their screens. Further, the animated series performed incredibly well on the platform. It gained 6.4 stars out of 10 on IMDb and 94% on Rotten Tomatoes . However, the streaming platform hasn’t yet shared its viewership count. But it won’t affect Prime Video’s decision.

The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2: Production Status

As mentioned above, the show was announced in 2020. You’ll be surprised to know that it has been in development since then. Interestingly, The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2 was written during the first season’s production. Since the first season aired in 2024 and the show is still in production, it seems the series will soon wrap up its production phase. It also suggests that both seasons were developed back-to-back.

So, season 2 might have entered the post-production phase. Typically, the animation work takes 12 to 18 months. Given the time the animated series has been developing, the show might be closed to wrap everything. We will update you as soon as we learn about the official announcement. But there’s a rumor that the series showrunner is preparing for the third season. This might extend the show’s production time.

Will Titmouse Return To Animate The Series?

Since the series was announced, Amazon Studios and Animal Pictures have remained the production houses, while Titmouse, Inc. is the animation studio behind the series. The studio was founded in 1999 in Los Angeles and has created several animated series and movies. These include Class of 3000, Let’s Fish, Happy Monster Band, and Superjail!

While the animation house is known for producing several series a year, many doubt whether it will return to animate The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2. But you don’t have to stress. That’s because the show has been in development, and Titmouse, Inc. is working on it. As mentioned above, the series entered production in 2020 and has been developing both seasons together. So, it’s safe to say that the animation house will return.

The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2: Cast Details

What To Expect From The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2?

The first season focused on Klak, her battle with anxiety, and her troublesome relationship with her mother. As the series progressed, it focused on Klak’s redemption arc and how things changed in her life. While in the ending, Klak and Sleech helped save the world from the apocalypse, the second season might focus on another dark storyline. In the final scene, a journalism company called Deep Cut focuses on the duo’s bravery and how they stopped the apocalypse.

However, it seems like things will turn more challenging in The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2. This new limelight will complicate things for the doctors as they try to navigate their lives. Meanwhile, the series showrunner said in an interview that the second season would focus on Sleech’s life. It will delve into her backstory and how her life is different than Klak’s. Dunlap revealed that the next season will also focus on another aspect of anxiety.

Not everyone faces the same problems. So, the show will explore mental health and how challenging things can become. Sleech has been keeping her vulnerability under wraps, but it will be explored in the next run. Fans will also get to know more about her family and friends.

Showrunner Plans To Return With More Seasons

While Prime Video has only renewed the series for two seasons, the series showrunner Dunlap shared their plans to extend the animated series. She told The Direct that she has plans for more seasons. They are working on The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2. However, she knows how the show will move and what she wants in future developments. Dunlap revealed that the potential future seasons will explore different characters.

Dunlap revealed that The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 2 will focus on Dr. Sleech and the problems the character had faced in the past and how it would affect her life. The showrunner added that the series will focus on “a variety of examples of anxiety.”

Thus, it’s safe to say that the series will soon return for The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy Season 3. However, the renewal decision is based on several parameters, like viewership counts, the number of people who subscribed to the platform, and the budget. So, it doesn’t seem like the third season will arrive soon. Fans will have to wait a little to learn the future of the potential seasons.

Blue Eye Samurai Season 2: In Production! Creator Teases “More Blood To Spill!” Know Release Date

Mizu is unstoppable and has already proven this to the audience in Blue Eye Samurai. But will she return with Blue Eye Samurai Season 2? No doubt, her determination and strong will to take her revenge play a central part in the anime. However, things are changing now. That might affect Mizu’s mission. But it won’t stop her. The creators have already hinted that Mizu will work on delivering justice. However, during this process, she might discover more about herself and her family dynamic. Does that mean Mizu will return? Keep reading to find this out.

Blue Eye Samurai is a Netflix original adult animated action series created by a husband and wife team, Amber Noizumi and Michael Green. The series is set in Japan’s Edo period, where Mizu struggles to find her place in the world. Things become challenging for her since she’s a half-white, half-Japanese female warrior (onna-musha). It also makes her vengeful and bitter toward others, and here starts her quest to take revenge on four white men, one of them is allegedly her father, who is responsible for her miserable life. Will she ever find her father? Let’s see!

Blue Eye Samurai Season 2: Is It Renewed?

The animated series might be one of the darkest and biggest ever on Netflix. That’s because as soon as Blue Eye Samurai debuted, it received worldwide praise from the audience as well as the critics. While the series is critically acclaimed for its unique animation, creation, and bloodbath, Netflix renewed Blue Eye Samurai for Season 2 just after its debut. There’s no denying that the streaming platform has a fate on the series. However, the giant streaming platform previously stated it would continue investing in adult animation. This could be a possible reason behind the early renewal.

With the conclusion of “Big Mouth,” “Q-Force,” “Inside Job,” “Farzaar,” “Disenchantment,” “Agent Elvis,” and “Captain Fall,” Netflix is now looking forward to more such series. And Blue Eye Samurai serves best to the search. The giant streaming platform confirmed Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 with a short announcement trailer. It focuses on some scenes from the pilot season in which Mizu can be seen in action.

The clip also highlights Vanity Fair‘s reaction to the first season, calling it “one of the best shows of 2023.” There’s no doubt about that. As the teaser trailer progresses, it hints that Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 will be more gruesome than ever as it will focus closely on Mizu’s story arc. Netflix revealed that Mizu’s bloody world will return. Meanwhile, the creators, Michael Green and Amber Noizumi have something to share with the audience.

The Creators Talk About Their Plans For Blue Eye Samurai Season 2

As soon as Blue Eye Samurai received its second season, the series creators/executive producers/writers Amber Noizumi and Michael Green shared about the project. The creators said that they were committed to this project set in Edo-period Japan. They wanted to bring the best to the series and portray it as beautifully and authentically as possible. Green and Noizumi said, “Our animators, historians, musicians, martial artists, and voice cast made this a reality beyond our expectations.”

Netflix

Green and Noizumi also thanked the entire team and viewers for making Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 possible. “We are thankful,” the creators continued, “to our viewers from all over the world who have shown such passion” for Blue Eye Samurai and Mizu’s path of revenge. Green and Noizumi also shared that season 2 will see more bloodbaths. They can make this journey happen with their incredible partner, Netflix.

Blue Eye Samurai Season 2: Production Status

Although the series was greenlit back in December 2023, there haven’t been any words about its production status. As of now, it has been more than six months since Netflix announced Blue Eye Samurai Season 2. But it seems like the series will take more time to undergo production. That’s because the showrunners want the animated series to be made with 2D/3D-hybrid animation by French studio Blue Spirit. Since they want it to look like a “moving painting,” it will undoubtedly take more time to wrap up production.

The series was announced in 2020 and took three years to finish its production. If the timeline is followed, we can expect that Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 will take three or more years to wrap up production. Typically, it takes a year or a half to animate the series. When it comes to Blue Eye Samurai, the characters are designed from bunraku puppets, so it will definitely take more time to finish production. But we will update you shortly after learning the official announcement.

Is There Any Source Material?

Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 Production status updates
Netflix/ Mizu

Typically, animes are made from a source material, either a manga or a light novel. But when it comes to Blue Eye Samurai, things are different. The animated series has no source material; it’s an anime original series. That means it can be explored as many seasons as the creator and Netflix wish. We can expect the same for the series since Netflix is known for exploring shows until two or three seasons. Remember, “Bad Mouth” was renewed for eight seasons. Although “Bad Mouth” and “Rick And Morty” are exceptions, considering this, anything can happen.

Blue Eye Samurai Season 2: What To Expect From The Next Season?

The first season saw Mizu, the mixed-race sword master, sailing to the uncharted waters. She had already dealt with her enemies in Japan, and now she headed to London to find her two remaining potential fathers. Mizu had killed Violet, her first suspect, at the beginning of the first season. However, she locked Irishman Abijah Fowler as her prisoner. While she knew he wasn’t her father, she didn’t want to kill him as he could help her find the remaining ones.

Since Blue Eye Samurai is an anime original series, it remains unclear how things will unfold in Season 2. However, the creative team suggested that Mizu land in London in Blue Eye Samurai Season 2. It will play a significant role in her personal journey. Since Europeans follow a different culture, seeing how they will react to her will be interesting. Mizu will also learn more about Western culture by immersing herself in it.

It will lead her to question her beliefs, whether they are all monsters or whether she must see the picture through different lenses. While Mizu’s character arc will be the center of Blue Eye Samurai Season 2, the side characters will also have their fair share of screens. It will be interesting to see how Ringo will deal with the situation when Mizu enters the foreign land. Will he accompany her there? You will learn soon!

Who Will Be In Blue Eye Samurai Season 2?

There’s no denying that Amber Noizumi and Michael Green will return as the series creators. Besides them, Jane Wu will serve as the director and producer of the series, while Erwin Stoff will be the executive producer. The French animation studio Blue Spirit will return to animate the series. While there is little knowledge about the staff, Netflix has yet to announce who will return to voice new characters. But we can expect the pilot season’s prominent cast to return. These are:

 • Mizu – Maya Erskine

 • Ringo – Masi Oka

 • Abijah Fowler – Kenneth Branagh

 • Seki – George Takei

 • The Swordmaker –

 • Princess Akemi – Brenda Song

 • Taigen – Darren Barnet

 • Heiji Shindo – Randall Park

 • Ise – Stephanie Hsu

 • Madame Kaji – Ming-Na Wen

 • Takayoshi – Harry Shum Jr.

 • Chiaki – Mark Dacascos

Since Mizu will enter London, fans can expect some new characters. However, Netflix has yet to announce the cast details. We will surely update this section as soon as we learn of an official announcement.

Will There Be More Seasons?

Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 cast details updates
Netflix

Noizumi and Green mapped Blue Eye Samurai to run for four seasons. They have been creating the series for over a decade. However, Netflix renewed the series based on its performance and narration. Although it renewed Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 quite early, there’s less chance this will happen with other seasons. Besides this, Green and Noizumi are also talking about a spin-off series. But nothing is confirmed at this moment.

Is Blue Eye Samurai Worth Watching?

As soon as the series hit Netflix, it created much-needed hype. Fans all around the world were hooked on the epic narration and gruesome action scenes. A Reddit user also stated, “This show is immaculate. A true visual masterpiece. I am so so happy I came across this show. Even days after I finished watching [it], I cannot stop thinking about it. I hope this goes to show a lot of people that animation is a worthy medium to tell a story.”

Well, there’s no denying that. The series received a 100% positive reception from Rotten Tomatoes, while on IMDb, it earned 8.7 solid stars. Not only this, but many critics also called it a worth-watching series. The anime broke all the records of 2023, as it depicted the bloody action scenes with grace. Even the narration received love from the audience as well as the critics.

Bad News For Blue Eyes Fans

In a recent interview, the team told Collider they were in panic mode because they had a schedule to follow, and budget constraints can create problems. They were currently in the beginning of the production phase. The team further emphasized that they had just started, and everything was in the planning stages. In addition, the team confirmed that season 2 will be shorter than the first season. Season 1 had eight episodes with a runtime of around 35 to 65 minutes, most around 46 to 47 minutes. However, it’s reported that season 2 will only have six episodes at the 44-minute mark. That means the second season will be two hours less than the first.

Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 Release Date

At the time of writing, there are no official words about the series’ release date. The second season has yet to undergo production. Since we know the production will take three to four years, it’s highly unlikely to return this year. Speaking of the Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 release date, Netflix confirmed that the show will be released in 2026. So, fans have to wait to watch their favorite thrilling action series. This is all for now. Stay with The Anime Daily for more such updates.

There’s no denying that nothing is better than a classic anime, especially Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt. The series has a cult following. And guess what? It’s returning. That’s right, we have pleasant news for Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2. It’s been 14 years since we last saw the classic Gainax Anime. And finally, the wait is about to be over! The studio house revealed that fan-favorite anime is returning sooner rather than later on our screens with a twist. Will the anime return with the following changes? Keep reading to know that.

Based on the manga series of the same name, Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt focuses on the exploits of the Anarchy sisters Panty and Stocking. The two were kicked out of heaven because of their ill behavior. However, they found a way to return by destroying the malicious Ghosts of Daten City. While the sisters found a way to redemption, they struggled to change their behavior, causing chaos in their lives.

Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2 Is Officially Renewed!

Rejoice, anime lovers! Studio Trigger has promised to bring back the cult classic anime to our screen. This anime is none other than Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt. Well, there’s no denying that the series gained a massive fan following just after its debut. Despite being hugely popular, it was shelved after one season. The pilot season aired in 2010, and nobody has heard of Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt since then. But finally, avid anime fans’ dream is coming true.

Studio Trigger, formed by former Gainax employee Hiroyuki Imaishi, has promised to bring back the cult classic animes. This doesn’t end here. The studio has promised to bring several such animes to our screen. While celebrating the studio’s 10th Anniversary, Studio Trigger released a list of upcoming projects. The studio house is working on several new projects and future installments of their TV anime adaptation projects.

But this doesn’t mean they are not looking forward to letting their fans relive some nostalgic moments. After twelve years of waiting, the studio house announced at Anime Expo that they are bringing back Gainax classic anime’s new season. This news left fans on the edge, sparking a wave of excitement all over the internet.

Official Announcement!

The official announcement came as a part of the tenth-anniversary celebration. Studio Trigger confirmed their latest project, Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2, at Anime Expo 2023. The studio house revealed back then that they were working on several new projects like Delicious in Dungeon. While the anime adaptation is now ready for its sequel, Studio Trigger confirmed they are ready to bring back their popular projects.

During the announcement, the studio house shared the first trailer of Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2, leaving fans in awe. The trailer began with Panty and Stocking showing their two middle fingers to announce Season 2. Soon after, the scene shifted its focus to the highly captivated action sequence featuring Panty and Stocking in action. You can enjoy the trailer above.

Key Visual Out

Apart from the announcement video, Studio Trigger has also unveiled the first look of Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2. On July 4, 2024, the official account of New Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt confirmed that “The Bitches Are Back!” It dropped the first teaser trailer, where Panty and Stocking can be seen having fun with their pals in the driveway. In addition to the first poster, the anime’s official website also dropped its official logo. You can check the first look below.

When Will Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2 Undergo Production?

Hold your breath! That’s because you don’t have to wait to see your favorite characters back on your screen. Studio Trigger confirmed two years ago that the team had started working on Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2. That means production had already begun and would now be in its final stage of completion. Isn’t it interesting? Well, production usually takes 12 to 18 months, but in Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt’s case, things turned out a bit chaotic.

That’s because the series is Gainax’s original anime series. So, it became challenging for Studio Trigger to return to season 2 of Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt without acquiring the rights to the series. It took them 12 years to acquire the rights to the series. Further, the fall of Gainax studio also made things challenging for the anime. But there’s nothing to worry about now. That’s because Studio Trigger has finally acquired the rights of Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt and has also revealed that the new season will be called “New Panty & Stocking.”

Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt: Manga Vs. Anime

The pilot season was an adaptation of the manga series by Tagro. The manga started serializing in Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace Magainze. However, the manga series also ran for one year, from August 2010 to June 2011. It was compiled in one tankobon volume. Sadly, the pilot season covered the entire source material, leaving no room for Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2. But you don’t have to be disappointed. That’s because illustrator and Studio Trigger founder Hiroyuki Imaishi returned with the same manga the same year.

His artwork was published in NewType before being changed to Monthly Anime Style magazine. So, there’s hope that the second season will cover Imaishi’s artwork. In addition, the second season will be partially anime original. That means it wouldn’t dive into any source material. During Anime Expo 2023, the staff of the production house revealed that they had a ton of ideas for Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2.

According to the production staff and crew, New Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt can continue for “10 seasons and a movie.” Well, this is something the fans have been waiting for. The “New” version of the classic anime will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on its fans. There’s no denying that everyone is eagerly waiting for the next season.

Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2 Cast Details

The newest season of Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt is gearing up for its return and will undoubtedly be the epic one. While fans have been waiting for this for years, the team has announced the key staff members of the upcoming season. These include:

However, the team hasn’t yet revealed the voice actors’ details. Thus, it remains unclear whether some new voice artists team will join Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2 or the old actors will return. • Stocking – Mariya Ise (Japanese), Monica Rial (English)

 • Garterbelt – Koji Ishii (Japanese), Christopher R. Sabat (English)

 • Brief – Hiroyuki Yoshino (Japanese), Joel McDonald (English)

Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2: What To Expect Next?

As of now, there’s no official news about the second season’s plot. However, if the series continues from the first season’s finale, then it’s likely that the siblings’ misadventure will continue. In the finale, Panty loses her powers and is eventually kicked out by Garterbelt. She later starts living with an old woman, who convinces her to stop Brief from opening the Hell’s Gate. Despite Panty’s attempt, Brief opens the door and unleashes a massive Ghost. The evil Ghost later creates havoc in the city.

To stop the Ghost and Corset, Panty and Stocking use Garterbelt’s credit card to buy some weapons after Garterbelt’s death. While their attempt goes in vain, they later summon their mother, who destroys the Ghost and again kicks out the siblings from heaven—this time for using Garterbelt’s credit card. The siblings are now back in the city, and Garterbelt is back to keep an eye on them.

While the first season ended on a massive note, it left many loose ends to be explored in Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2. So, we can expect that Panty and Stocking will continue their misadventure in the second season. They will create more havoc in the city while trying to kill the monsters and save the people of Daten City.

No Game No Life Season 2: Creator Hints At A Potential Sequel

No Game No Life Season 2 is the hotly anticipated Isekai anime of the decade, and there’s no denying that. The anime debuted back in 2014. It received a massive fanbase in no time because of its compelling narrative and stellar visuals. While the series won many hearts, its fate remained up in the air. It’s been a decade, but fans are still clamoring for its sophomore run. Will it ever happen? Well, the creator’s recent post only hints at that direction. Keep reading to know that.

Based on the Japanese light novel No Gemu No Raifu by Yuu Kamiya, the series focuses on two hikikomori stepsiblings. They were summoned to another reality, Disboard, by a god named Tet. While the siblings were determined to return to their world, they discovered they needed to win the six kingdoms to challenge Tet. If they managed to win the sixth kingdom, they might get back to the real world. But can they?

No Game No Life Season 2: Renewed Or Canceled?

It’s been ten years since we last saw the pilot season of No Game No Life. The first season performed incredibly well, gaining the upper hand in the Isekai genre. In no time, it received a dedicated fanbase. Why not? The anime’s narration and graphics were top-notch, gaining plenty of appreciation from the global audience as well as critics. This led many to believe that No Game No Life Season 2 might be on its way.

No Game No Life Season 2 release date updates and news
Crunchyroll

Ten years have passed since then, yet many believe that the anime might have undergone production and been secretly renewed. But it never happened. Despite that, the series failed to receive a renewal. In short, neither the anime committee nor the production team has renewed the series for the second run, No Game No Life Season 2. This has undoubtedly disheartened many, including the LN author Yuu Kamiya.

Creator Calls For No Game No Life Season 2

While the anime committee remained mum about Season 2 of No Game No Life, the light novel creator Yuu Kamiya has been vocal about his interest in continuing the journey. In fact, earlier in April, his tweet went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter. Kamiya celebrated the tenth anniversary of No Game No Life in a tweet via X. He said, “[Congratulations] No Game No Life; It’s the 10th Anniversary.” While fans loved his post and also celebrated the day, Kamiya’s next post took the world by storm.

In a follow-up post, Kamiya wrote, “Please make a second season.” It quickly ignited fans to call for No Game No Life Season 2. The follow-up post went viral within a second, with over 500k likes and replies calling for the second run. While it’s been ten years, some fans predicted that the series could have undergone production. On the other hand, some believed that the series was silently renewed for its sophomore run, leading to a debate on social media.

As many shared their thoughts calling for No Game No Life Season 2, some fans’ rational comments were worth noting. Since it’s been ten years, the production decision might eventually be announced. However, one thing to note here is that if the anime committee wanted to return Yuu Kamiya wouldn’t be asking for Season 2 renewal. This means the anime has been shelved without any reason.

Despite the fact that anime has remained dormant for over ten years, its popularity is still huge. The series received positive reception from the international audience and critics. It gained 7.6/10 stars on IMDb and 8.1/10 on MyAnimeList. Besides this, critics rated the series #4 on The Best Isekai of All Time, Ranked. This is enough to suggest that the anime was highly popular. Yet, the production committee hasn’t commented on No Game No Life Season 2. This left many to wonder why the staff was silent.

As mentioned above, the series remained in the top position for several months. In fact, even today, No Game No Life is the best Isekai anime. The anime’s performance also boosted manga sales. This is one of the reasons why Madhouse should consider returning with No Game No Life Season 2. Still, the studio house has remained mum on its renewal decision. Above all, the creator has been calling for Season 2 for years. He’d also asked for the second season in 2023. This shows the creator’s excitement to return with more seasons.

Last Hope For Season 2

Since ten years have already passed, it doesn’t seem like Madhouse will come up with No Game No Life Season 2 renewal. That’s not because of the time but the studio’s schedule. It’s currently busy. However, it doesn’t mean the studio house can never return with season 2. There are chances that suggest season 2 can happen even after a decade. Numerous animes received renewal after ten years.

No Game No Life Season 2 latest news updates on renewal
Crunchyroll

One such anime is Black Butler Season 4 . It received the green light after ten years and is ready to stream as a part of Crunchyroll’s Spring 2024 lineup. Plus, Madhouse is known for creating high-quality content. Since No Game No Life graphics were top-notch, we can expect the studio house to take longer to return with another run. But again, it remains in Madhouse’s hands, which are currently full.

It is currently working on big banner projects like Trillion Game, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, and Orb: On the Movements of the Earth. As we know, the studio house creates only 2-3 anime a year. It doesn’t look like it will focus on No Game No Life Season 2, at least now. However, there are slim chances that Madhouse might return with season 2 someday or another.

Is There Enough Source Material?

Another reason for No Game No Life Season 2 to return is its source material. The anime is based on the Light Novel series, which started serializing on April 25, 2012, under the MF Bunko J imprint. Interesting, its status is ongoing. This means there is plenty of material left to be explored in future installments; the first season covered Volumes 1 – 3, while the anime movie covered until Vol 6. As of November 2023, there are a total of 12 volumes. This means the second season can easily return.

Netflix

If renewed, No Game No Life Season 2 can cover volumes 7 – 9, focusing on three volumes like the pilot season. However, its return remains a big question. Even the series creator said in a 2017 interview that the anime’s return would be based on several factors, such as light novel sales and fans’ demands. However, the first season was a commercial hit. It even increased the LN sales as it had over three million copies in circulation in May 2017. Yet, its fate remains up in the air.

No Game No Life Season 2: What Could Have Happened?

The first season finale saw Izuna defeating Sora and Shiro, the stepsiblings duo. Just when Izuna celebrated her victory, Stephanie entered the realm and defeated the former. However, since she played from a non-player category, Sora and Shiro declared the latter was with them and eventually announced their victory over Izuna. Ino later announced that Elkia won over the Eastern Union. As the episode unfolded, the Shrine Maiden challenged Sora to a game of heads or tails.

However, a tie led Shrine Maiden to share its resources with Eastern Union. While the duo continued to stick to their strategy, they discovered they needed to defeat the Ten Covenants in order to challenge Tet. This could only be a way to return home. Since the remaining three volumes were covered in the film, No Game No Life Season 2 can continue with Vol 7. Sora and Shiro will face a new challenge.

This time, the Werebeast God, Old Deus, will create a life-sized board game and challenge the siblings to participate. While the siblings will do their best to win the game, things will turn nasty. That’s because Old Deus has planted a traitor within Sora’s party. This will create a distraction, leading the duo to fail to win the game. But if they fail, they won’t be granted a wish; instead, they will be forced into the god’s servitude.

No Game No Life Season 2 Cast Details

As of now, it remains unclear whether the series will return with another season. However, there is ample source material left to be explored. Considering this, there is a chance of No Game No Life in Season 2. So, if it returns, it will probably return with the main cast members and vocal artists. These include:

 • Sora – Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Japanese), Scott Gibbs (English)

 • Shiro – Ai Kayano (Japanese), Caitlynn French (English)

 • Stephanie – Yoko Hikasa (Japanese), Sara Ornelas (English)

 • Jibril – Yukari Tamura (Japanese), Amelia Fischer (English)

 • Tet – Rie Kugimiya (Japanese), Shannon Emerick (English)

If the anime returns, the series director, Atsuko Ishizuka, may also return. However, things aren’t confirmed at this moment, so let’s hope for the best.

As of now, Season 2 of No Gemu No Raifu has yet to be announced. However, if it gets renewed this year, the series will take 12 to 18 months to wrap up animation work. Since the first season’s graphics were top-notch, we expect the same with the second season. So, if this is the case, the anime might take ample time to return. On a safer side, the series could return in 2026. However, it’s a tentative date. We will update you shortly after learning the official announcement. This is all for now. That’s why The World’s Finest Assassin has such a huge fanbase. However, following the end of the first season , fans wondered whether the series would ever return with a second season. Well, the first season ended in December 2021. It’s been three years now. But no need to fret. This is because we have pleasant news for anime lovers.

Crunchyroll

Back in 2023, Crunchyroll announced that The World’s Finest Assassin Season 2 was happening. Indeed, you read that right! The second season is on the cards. Well, it was meant to be! Like why not? The series received positive reviews from critics and audiences. It garnered 7.3 solid ratings on both IMDb and MyAnimeList. Meanwhile, many called Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei Suru worth watching. So, there’s no brainer as to why the series received another season.

Official Announcement!

While fans waited almost two years to receive an official announcement from the studio, Crunchyroll surprised them all. Back in September 2023, Kadokawa’s Sneaker Bunko celebrated its 35th Anniversary. On such a happy occasion, the light novel publishing company went live on social media to announce the much-needed update. The company live-streamed to announce that The World’s Finest Assassin Season 2 is happening.

The special announcement left the fans in a frenzy, as they had been waiting for it. However, the publishing company didn’t give more details about the rest of the staff or reveal how long the series will take to return to its fans’ screens. But one thing is sure: The anime will indeed return with a blast, as the cliffhanger hints at Hero and Lugh’s looming battle.

The World’s Finest Assassin Season 2: Production Details

No doubt, anime lovers have been waiting for the official announcement. They not only received the news of the sophomore season’s renewal but they were also delighted by the production update. Yes, you read it right. Kadokawa’s Sneaker Bunko announced in its 35th Anniversary livestream that The World’s Finest Assassin Season 2 is in the works. The series returned to its animation. Since the animation work takes almost a year and a half to finish the production work, we can expect the same with Sekai Saiko no Anastsusha Season 2.

However, the first season of The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat was announced in February 2021 and took only eight months to wrap up production. Thus, considering this, we expect the series to be in the middle of its production. It might probably wrap up its production relatively soon. Whatever the case, we will update you.

Who Will Be Behind The Animation?

The first season was adapted by Silver Link and Studio Palette. Silver Link was founded in December 2007 by ex-Frontline animation producer Hayato Kaneko. It’s known for various blockbuster animes, such as Magic of Stella, Battle Girl High School, Mitsuboshi Colors, Bofuri, and Dusk Maiden of Amnesia. Meanwhile, Studio Palette was founded by Suginami in February 2018. So far, the series has animated five animes and is currently in the developing stage.

While Silver Link and Studio Palette together created the first season of The World’s Finest Assassin, it seems like Studio Palette won’t be part of the sophomore run. This is because the studio’s official website hasn’t mentioned anything about the second run. Meanwhile, Silver Link’s official website suggests that the studio is working on The World’s Finest Assassin Season 2. So, there’s a chance that Silver Link will solely produce the second run. However, nothing official has been announced yet. But the chances of Silver Link solely producing the second run are quite huge.

Are There Enough Source Material?

The anime series is based on a Japanese light novel series by Rui Tsukiyo. The light novel series was serialized from July 2018 to October 2021 on Shosetsuka ni Naro and was later acquired by Kadokawa Shoten. So far, the series has seven volumes, hinting there is enough source material left to return with The World’s Finest Assassin Season 2. The first season covered until the first volume, hinting the series could return with almost seven seasons.

However, one thing to note here is that this anime generally follows the anime-original content. There was a lot of original content in the first season which wasn’t covered in the books. The final few episodes also focused on more details, following a slow pace. Thus, considering this, we can expect that Season 2 of The World’s Finest Assassin might focus more on its original content.

The World’s Finest Assassin Season 2: What To Expect Next?

In the first season finale, Lugh and Dia’s father devise a plan to fake Dia’s death to let her safely enter the Tuatha De region. However, things didn’t go according to their plans, leaving them to make some subtle changes. To make things workable, the Tuatha De family adopted Dia as their younger daughter. While the plan was top-notch, Lugh learned that the Hero, Lord Epona Rhiannon, had arrived at the Alvan Kingdom. So now, in The World’s Finest Assassin Season 2, Lugh will devise a plan to assassin Hero. But it won’t be that easy.

The World's Finest Assassin Season 2 plot details
Crunchyroll

Although Lugh remembers his past and still possesses his assassin skills, things will be tough for him. This is because the Hero is the master of sword and magic. So, in order to deal with him, Lugh needs to acquire great swordsmanship skills. Not only this, but now Lugh also has to start working on upgrading his power. To become the head of the Tuatha De clan, he needs to learn some new skills.

Since we know the second season will follow the second volume, as per the synopsis, Lugh will sent to the commercial city of Milteu. So he can get trained as a merchant. He meets a new assistant, Macha, who follows the same goal- assassin the Hero. Since they both follow the same goal, it will be easy for them to bond, ultimately making Lugh’s motive stronger to assassinate Hero. While it remains unclear whether Lugh will meet Hero in the second season, they will definitely cross paths someday or another.

Because the series has its own original content as well, we can expect Lugh to meet Hero soon. He will also challenge the Hero to a battle. However, the fight won’t be in Lugh’s favor, leading him to work on his skills. The World’s Finest Assassin Season 2 also hints that Lugh’s family will face challenges after adopting Dia.

While The World’s Finest Assassin has a huge fanbase, fans have a bittersweet feeling for the anime’s first season. Many believe the pilot season was a blast; it gave justice to its source material. However, the series became boring after a few episodes. Some also stated that the series contained a lot of harem content, which wasn’t enjoyable to watch. While the series received mostly negative reviews from the audience on Reddit, some also believe it did justice to its source material.

The World’s Finest Assassin Season 2 Release Date

As we said above, Crunchyroll hasn’t yet announced The World’s Finest Assassin Season 2 release date. However, the anime might be in its last stage of production, so considering this, we can expect the series to return sooner than usual. If the series wraps up production this summer, we can expect the second season to return to our screens in late 2024 or early 2025. As usual, the anime will start airing on Crunchyroll, and in some regions, it will also be available on Netflix.

Wind Breaker is an adaptation of a Japanese manga series of the same name. Satoru Nii wrote and illustrated it and started serialization in January 2021 on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket manga website. As of now, it has been collected in 19 tankobon volumes. Since the manga is ongoing, there is plenty of source material to adapt. The first season of Wind Breaker covered 41 chapters.

Since the manga has 145 chapters in total, there is sufficient material. The anime can return with more seasons. The first season covered 41 chapters. So, based on that, it’s likely that Wind Breaker Season 2 will cover the exact number of chapters, leaving a door open for Wind Breaker Season 3.

Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2 Is Coming In 2025!

Finally, after five long years, Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2 is returning. That’s right! The series created a huge buzz shortly after its premiere. Despite being one of the most fantastic series, its fate remained in limbo. But fans don’t have to wait for more. That’s because we have a pleasant update for the series fans suggesting the anime is gearing to return as soon as possible. You heard that right! The Jibaku Shonen Hanako-Kun Season 2 release date has already been announced. So, let’s see when it will be returned.

Based on the Iro-Aida duo’s Japanese manga series, Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun is centered on Kamome Academy, its Seven Wonders, and supernatural occurrences. The school is rumored to have several supernatural mysteries, and the strangest one surrounds the mischievous ghost of Hanako-kun. After a high schooler, Nene Yashiro accidently summons Hanako-kun, she uncovers a mysterious world of supernatural beings.

Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2 Is Renewed!

After the original anime series returned with a brand-new adaptation named After-school Hanako-Kun, fans believed they would never see Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun again. It’s been years since the anime debuted on January 10, 2020, and fans haven’t heard anything of it. This led many to believe that the anime was a done deal. But wait a minute! While everyone thought the anime had concluded, it returned with a bang.

During the After-school Hanako-Kun Halloween After Party in November 2023, the official channels shared that Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2 would return. That’s right! The anime is gearing up to return as soon as possible. Well, there’s no denying that the series is a masterpiece. Shortly after its debut, it received positive reception from the audience as well as critics. It gained 7.5 stars out of 10 on IMDb. Meanwhile, it amassed 4.8 stars out of 5 on Crunchyroll.

Later, the official X/Twitter account of Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun shared a delightful update. The official account posted a confirmation update hinting at the renewal of Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2. It also confirmed that After School Boy Hanako-kun is also ready to return with four episodes in the fall of 2024. According to the reports, the sequel series was already aired on October 7, which fans can catch on Crunchyroll.

When Will Jibaku Shonen Hanako-Kun Season 2 Enter Production?

After the series received greenlit in November 2023, the production committee confirmed that the anime was officially in production. Typically, animation takes a year or more to finish. The first season took only a year to finish production work. However, a year has passed, and the production committee hasn’t shared anything about the series’ production status. While it remains unclear how long it will take to finish animating, Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2 is all set to return sooner rather than later.

Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2 Production  started , release date updates
Crunchyroll

The anime has already entered its post-production stage, which means the show will return soon. Speaking of the delay in the production, the creative team confirmed two anime projects back in November. Both Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2 and After-School Hanako-Kun were animated together, which is the sole reason behind the delay in this production. Since the four-episode sequel has already been aired, fans will receive the highly anticipated Season 2 soon.

Will Studio Lerche Return?

Although Jibaka Shonen Hanako-kun Season 2 was announced a year ago, the production committee has yet to share the staff details. However, we know that Lerche will return to produce the series. The first season was produced by Studio Lerche aka Studio Hibari, Inc. It was founded in July 1979 in Oizumi by Sachiko Mitsunobu and her husband, Hiroyoshi Mitsunobu. She was a former cel-colorist in Tsuchida Production, and her husband was an anime director.

The studio is known for animating several hit animes, including Duel Masters Charge, Moonlight Mile, Magical Girl Raising Project, Classroom of the Elite, and High Card. The studio house has also worked on several OVA/ONAs and movies. While it’s known for the success of both Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun and After-School Hanako-Kun, it hasn’t shared many details about the series’ staff members.

Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2 Studio updates  releasing
Crunchyroll

But we do know that it will return because the animation house has remained the sole production house behind the series. Following are the staff members who will join Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2. Yohei Fukui will replace Masaomi Ando as Fukui will take over the role of director. Yasuhiro Nakanishi will join as the series composer and character designer Mayuka Ito will also return.

Is There Enough Source Material?

Of course, yes! The anime is based on a Japanese manga series illustrated by Aida and written by Iro. It started serializing in 2014 in Square Enix’s magazine Monthly GFantasy. As of October 2024, the manga is collected in 22 tankobon volumes with over 119 chapters, and the first season covers chapters from books 1 to 8, which means almost 40. So, we expect the same with Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2. Season 2 will cover almost 40 chapters of the source material, leaving room for another season.

Although nothing is known about Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 3, there’s a high chance that the anime can return. That’s because the manga’s popularity has reached great heights. As of February 2024, it had over 10 million copies in circulation, which was huge. Since the manga is ongoing, it doesn’t seem like Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun will conclude after two seasons. The anime will definitely return with more seasons. However, fans have to wait for that. That’s because only 119 chapters have been published. So, to return with a third or fourth season, the manga must release more chapters.

Without any doubt, it’s safe to say that the original cast will return to reprise their roles in Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2. These include:

 • Nene Yashiro: Akari Kito (Japanese), Tia Ballard (English)

 • Kou Minamoto: Shoya Chiba (Japanese), Tyson Rinehart (English)

The Official Trailer Is Out!

The production committee announced the much-awaited news during a special summer event in Japan. It shared the official trailer of Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2. The supernatural mischief is all set to take Nene to a world of supernatural beings. The trailer begins with Nene knocking on the door of an abandoned washroom, waking up the spirit Hanako-kun. As the trailer progresses, it shows that Nene and Hanako-kun aren’t alone.

This time, they will be joined by a group of friends who want to resolve the mystery related to the supernatural connection with the school. The group will work on seizing the evil spirits to make a balance between the spiritual world and the human world. While Hanako-kun sits in the backseat and sees Nene and her friends doing all the dangerous activities, the trailer suggests that the stakes are high. The second season is all set to take us to the land of the unknown to treat us with more fascinating storylines and plot twists.

Can Nene share her feelings with Hanako-kun? The series premise has always surrounded her feelings and desire to have a boyfriend. As she is drawn closer to Hanako-kun, she wants to be with him. However, he has some other plans that might create challenges between them. So, will she be fine after learning more about Hanako-kun and his dark secrets? Only time will tell.

The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2: Why The Anime Is On “Hold?”

Since avid anime lovers saw their favorite manga series being adapted into a T.V. anime, they have been waiting for The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2 release date. There’s no denying that the anime received huge praise as soon as it debuted. However, since fans last saw the series, they are in a dilemma. That’s because it remains unclear whether their favorite anime will ever get a season 2. While nothing is clear at this moment, we have delightful news for anime lovers.

Based on the manga of the same name, The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today, the series centers on a young girl, Saku, and her cat, Yukichi. However, Yukichi isn’t an ordinary cat. It’s intelligent and sensible and knows house chores. Yukichi also knows how to look after the house and Saku. While the master and cat’s journey plays a huge part in the anime, there is more to look at in this slice-of-life drama.

The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2: Renewed Or Not?

The anime debuted back in July 2023 and ran till September 2023. As soon as it debuted, it became one of the most-watched anime of 2023. The audience and critics also liked the narration and how beautifully the characters depicted real-world trouble. While the series is one of its kind, its future remains in jeopardy. As of now (June 2024), almost a year has passed since the series debuted, but neither the network nor the studio house has announced the series’ future. Thus, it remains unclear whether The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2 returns.

The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2 renewed or not latest updates
Crunchyroll

While little is known about the series’ fate, we have pleasant news for anime lovers. The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today received a strong reception from fans and critics. It garnered a solid 7.7 stars out of 10 on MyAnimeList and 7.2 stars on IMDb. Not only this, but the anime also received 4.8 ratings on Crunchyroll. Thus, considering the audience’s huge response, it seems like the animators will return for The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2. But nothing is confirmed at that moment.

Chances Of The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2?

Anime is quite different than a live-action series. Live-action series generally drop slight hints about their future return. But it’s totally the opposite in the case of anime. That’s because plenty of animes around never got a sequel despite leaving the series on a cliffhanger. Thus, it becomes more challenging for the fans to wait for their favorite series. However, there are several such animes that received a sequel a couple of years or more later.

Considering this, there’s hope that The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2 might happen. That’s because the series received favorable ratings. Typically, renewal is based on the series’ performance and how greatly it impacted the manga’s sales. Before its debut, The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today manga had 900,000 copies in circulation in 2022. It’s believed that the manga’s popularity has grown since it received its T.V. anime adaptation. Nothing official is known about the manga’s 2024 sales. But a source confirmed that it’s doing pretty great.

Which Studio Will Produce The Series?

The series received its anime adaptation in May 2022 under the banner of GoHands. Katsumasa Yokomine served as the anime’s director, and Susumu Kudo was the chief director. Tamazo Yanagi wrote the scripts, while Takayuki Uchida designed the characters for The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today. GoHands Inc. is a Japanese animation studio founded by Satelight’s former Osaka Studio in 2008. Though the studio house was founded in August 2008, it has only created 11 T.V. animes so far.

Some of its amazing creations are Princess Lover!, W’z, The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses, and Hand Shakers. But T.V. anime isn’t the only thing that GoHands produces. The studio house is known for dropping several steller OVA and Films. These include See Me After Class, K: Missing Kings, Seitokai Yakuindomo: The Movie 1 & 2, and K: Seven Stories. While the studio house has dropped several hit series so far, GoHands is known for producing two animes in a year.

The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2 production house
Crunchyroll/ Yukichi

It is already working on its latest anime, Momentary Lily, which will hit the screen in 2025. Since the studio house is busy working on its latest project, it doesn’t seem like The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2 will get a greenlit soon. Also, it remains unclear whether the anime will get its sophomore run. However, if it gets renewed, we can expect GoHands to return to animate the sequel.

The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2: What To Expect Next?

The season finale focused on Saku asking Yukichi to teach her cooking. Her sudden request left the cat in utter shock. However, Saku later revealed that her colleagues were impressed by the dishes and requested that she teach them. But she had no idea how Yukichi did that. So, instead of panicking, she asked her beloved pet cat to help her out. Despite Yukichi’s great efforts to teach Saku a basic omelet, she missed the ingredients.

While she freaked out in the end, Saku’s colleagues mistook her for a professional chef. They believed she used the ingredients solely on her instinct. The first season later ended with a flashback in which a baby Yukichi decided to help Saku after seeing her falling apart. Despite a normal ending, The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2 is expected to delve deeper into the master and pet’s bonding. Saku will convince Yukichi to attend the birthday of her boss’s niece, Yume-chan.

Crunchyroll

However, things will soon turn dramatic as Yukichi’s depression hits again. He will continue to experience episodes of depression, creating problems for the couple. While the anime is solely based on Yukichi’s depression, it will also focus on his culinary skills. He will soon make big changes when he starts enjoying supermarket sales, which will also bring more dishes to the table.

Is There Enough Source Material?

Hitsuji Yamada wrote and illustrated The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today. It started serializing on Kodansha’s Suiyobi no Sirius in 2018. Later, in October 2021, the manga started publishing in Monthly Shonen Sirius. As of March 8, 2024, it has nine wideban volumes. However, two volumes have yet to be released. Speaking of The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2, the first season covered up to 4 volumes.

Although there are five more volumes left to be covered, there are only seven volumes available now. That means source material is scarce. This might be the reason why the studio hasn’t yet announced The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2. With two more volumes soon to be released later this year, a second season can be on the horizon. It might get renewed the following year. There’s a chance that the anime will return with a feature film, considering there isn’t enough source material left to be covered.

The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2 Cast Details

As of now, there’s no news about the second season. But we can expect that the previous season’s main characters will indeed return to play their part in The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2. These are:

 • Saku Fukuzawa – Yui Ishikawa

 • Yukichi – Hiroki Yasumoto

 • Yuri Shibasaki – Ai Kakuma

 • Kaoru Orizuka – Katsuyuki Konishi

 • Yume – Ayana Taketatsu

 • Rio Nishina – M.A.O.

Is The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Worth Watching?

The series has received love from all demographics. Critics believe that the anime follows a light tone and brings a smile to people’s faces. Its panel layout is also simple, which perfectly blends with the theme of slice-of-life. According to the critics, the anime is pleasant and can put you in a good mood. Meanwhile, on Reddit, a user stated that the anime is quite charming. It is also reminiscent of the old stories where household spirits help accomplish minor tasks to keep things afloat.

Another user said that the anime is peaceful and relaxing. It’s a good slice-of-life anime with incredible animation and funny characters. Another said, “It’s a really chill show. The main characters got really good chemistry and its just relaxing to watch.” Thus, there’s no denying that critics as well as the audiences are in love with the anime. So, if you haven’t watched it yet, don’t miss it.

The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2 Release Date

At the time of writing, the anime has yet to be renewed. It’s been almost a year since the anime hit our screen. But it looks like fans have to wait to see their favorite characters back in action. If the series gets renewed later this year, it will likely take a year to finish production. Typically, anime wraps up production in a couple of years. However, since the character design is simple in The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today, we can expect it to finish animation work in seven to eight months or a year.

Speaking of The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today Season 2 release date, we can expect it to be released in late 2025 or early 2026. This is all for now. Stay with The Anime Daily for more such updates.

Hell’s Paradise Season 2: Will It Get 2025 Release?

Hell’s Paradise is an exception when it comes to the shonen genre. And the audience can’t wait to see more prisoners and shogunate executioners in Hell’s Paradise Season 2. Well, there’s no denying that the pilot season raised the bar quite high. And why not? The series was a winner before its debut, and so did the genre. It is undoubtedly the beloved genre among its fans. Whether it is Jujutsu Kaisen or My Hero Academia, fans have always been amazed by the nature of the anime. But will they get another season of Hell’s Paradise this year? Let’s see!

The anime, based on the manga series Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku, is set in Japan’s Edo period. It follows executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri and ninja Gabimaru’s journey to immortality. As soon as the news surrounding the elixir of immortality spreads like wildfire, a squad of guards and prisoners is sent to investigate the matter. They are sent to a mysterious island where they need to rely on each other in order to survive. Can they do that? Keep reading to find this out!

Hell’s Paradise Season 2: Is Officially Renewed?

Hell’s Paradise surprised its fans with a never-before-seen shonen drama. The anime debuted in April 2023 and ran until July 2023, with a 13-episode run time. While the series edged close to its completion, the studio house surprised its fans with a much-needed announcement. TV Anime dropped a short teaser trailer, suggesting Hell’s Paradise Season 2 was on the cards.

The newly announced trailer gave fans a glimpse of the pilot season’s most epic moments. However, it didn’t offer details on the second season, but it did reveal that the second season will intensify the protagonist’s journey. That’s why fans are eagerly looking forward to season 2 of Hell’s Paradise. However, it seems like they have to wait to get an insight into the next story arc.

Who Is Making Hell’s Paradise Season 2?

A brilliant team of artists and industry professionals will create Hell’s Paradise Season 2. The series will be directed by Kaori Makita, written by Akira Kindaichi, and produced by Nozami Ishii. Yoshiaki Dewa will be responsible for the composition of the music. With such a talented team, the sophomore run will be overseen by studio MAPPA. There’s no denying that the studio is known for its high-quality productions. The studio house was founded in 2011 by Madhouse producer and co-founder Masao Maruyama.

Hell's Paradise Season 2 production house status and updates
Crunchyroll

Since its establishment, MAPPA has created several world-class animes such as Attack on Titan: The Final Season, Jujutsu Kaisen, The God of High School, Chainsaw Man, and Vinland Saga Season 2. As of now, the series has seven animes that are in the underdevelopment stage. That means Hell’s Paradise Season 2 won’t return sooner. However, there’s a chance that studio MAPPA will soon make the biggest announcement by dropping the most anticipated teaser trailer. But fans have to wait for that.

Hell’s Paradise Season 2: Production Details

As of now, TV Anime has only dropped the announcement trailer clip. While it gave a glimpse of the previous season, fans have to wait to learn more about the sophomore run. It is confirmed that Studio MAPPA will animate Hell’s Paradise Season 2. That’s because the studio’s official website enlisted the second season under the development list. But one thing to note here is Studio MAPPA is currently working Bucchigiri?!, Oblivion Battery, Zenshu, Lazarus, Campfire Cooking in Another World with my Absurd Skill Season 2, and Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3.

So, considering this, we don’t think Studio MAPPA will start with Hell’s Paradise Season 2 soon. The series is expected to go under production in late 2024 or sometime in 2025. Typically, the animation takes a year and a half to finish its production. With some behind-the-scenes problems in Studio MAPPA’s workplace, it doesn’t seem like the second season will return quite early. But no need to fret! That’s because reports suggest Studio MAPPA’s director has already resolved the salary-related problem, which had created chaos among its staff. As for production details, we will update you shortly after learning the official news.

Hell’s Paradise Season 2: What Will Happen Next?

The anime centers on an invincible assassin, Gabimaru, who is tasked with locating an elixir. While the journey to immortality sounds interesting, the quest is full of danger. Many have lost their lives during this quest. Despite that, Gabimaru is determined to reach his destination—not because of money or greed but because of his self-motivation to reunite with his beloved wife. The first season was centered on the Island and Lord Tensen Arc and explored up to Chapter 59 of the manga.

Hell's Paradise Season 2 plot details updates
Crunchyroll

However, Hell’s Paradise Season 2 will focus on the Horai Arc. Well, this is the longest story arc of the manga. It delves deeply into the stunning sequences and iconic moments. The Horai arc unfolds in several phases, combining the larger narrative. For the unversed, Horai is the inner layer of the island, where Gabimaru and his group finally reach. While they aim to secure the Elixir of Life and flee from the island, things won’t be that easy. It’s because of the formidable challenges hidden near the Horai.

Tensions arise among the group, and things become more challenging when a second party arrives on the island. While their journey remains unclear, Tensen creates more drama for Gabimaru and his team. Tensen tries to manipulate everyone as she plans to head to Japan and exploit its population. With such an intense drama, Hell’s Paradise Season 2 will unfold epic battles and unexpected betrayals. It will push the protagonist to his limits to reach his ultimate goal. With such an interesting storyline, Gabimaru’s character development will play the driving force of the second season as he confronts his past and fights to achieve his dream.

Hell’s Paradise is an adaptation of the manga of the same name. Yuji Kaku wrote and illustrated the manga series, which started serializing on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ from January 2018 to January 2021. The manga series has a total of 13 tankobon volumes. As of December 2022, the manga series had a circulation of more than 4 million copies. So, there’s no denying that Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku is the most loved manga in Japan.

Crunchyroll

If we talk about the anime series, then it’s a no-brainer that it is the most loved series ever in the shonen category. Just after its debut, the series received 8.1 solid stars on IMDb and 83% on Rotten Tomatoes. Not only this but the series was also renewed for Hell’s Paradise Season 2 just after its finale. So, there’s no denying that the series has a huge fanbase.

Hell’s Paradise Season 2: Cast Details

There’s no denying that Hell’s Paradise is a series where nobody is safe, as anything can happen to anyone. However, judging by the previous season’s state, we can guess that some of the main characters will return for Hell’s Paradise Season 2. With that in mind, here are the voice actors who will return in season 2.

 • Gabimaru – Chiaki Kobayashi (Japanese), Alejandro Saab (English)

 • Nurugai – Makoto Koichi (Japanese), Cassie Ewulu (English)

 • Shion – Chikahiro Kobayashi (Japanese), Reagan Murdock (English)

 • Fuchi Yamada Asaemon – Aoi Ichikawa (Japanese), Justin Briner (English)

 • Gantetsusai Tamiya – Tetsu Inada (Japanese), Phil Parsons (English)

 • Senta – Daiki Yamashita (Japanese), Jordan Dash Cruz (English)

 • Yuzuriha – Rie Takahashi (Japanese), Jill Harris (English)

 • Sagiri – Yumiri Hanamori (Japanese), Marisa Duran (English)

While the studio house has not announced the new characters and voice actors, Jump Festa 24 revealed another protagonist. In December 2023, Hell’s Paradise announced Ryota Suzuki would join the team as Sagiri’s father, Yamada Asaemon Shugen.

Is It Worth Watching?

Hell’s Paradise had a huge fanbase before it got an anime adaptation, so there’s no denying the hype about the series. As soon as the anime debuted, fans couldn’t keep calm and rushed to watch the series, which was the best decision ever. Many have come to Reddit to share their opinions, and they believe the anime is worth watching. It’s more like a guilty pleasure, and one should try the Shonen series at least once.

Hell’s Paradise Season 2 Release Date

Yes, you read that right! Since the TV adaptation hit our screen back in 2021, fans can’t wait to hear more about the characters and their thrilling journey. There’s no doubt that their mission has always left fans on a hook. But this time, things are changing, and this will soon reflect on the family’s bond. Will they come closer? Get ready for the biggest-ever epic story arc.

Based on the manga of the same name, Spy X Family follows a dystopian family where Loid Forger is tasked to spy on Donovan Desmond, the National Unity Party leader. However, to accomplish this task, he poses as a fellow parent to Desmond’s son and adopts a young girl named Anya. But more to his surprise, Anya could read people’s minds. This is not all! Loid marries Yor to portray a happy family. However, unbeknownst to him, Yor is an assassin. Thus, it makes things more challenging and hilarious in their life.

Spy X Family Season 3: Renewed Or Not?

Since the TV anime adaptation released its debut season, fans haven’t kept their calm. They have been clamoring for more, and in October 2023, they were even treated with a sophomore run, which ran till mid-December 2023. However, fans remained surprised as the studio didn’t comment anything on the third season of Spy x Family, despite the series being the most-watched anime ever.

For the unversed, the anime received positive reviews from the audience as well as the critics. It garnered 8.3 solid stars out of 10 on IMDb and 8.5 on MyAnimeList. While it was quite huge for an anime, the series broke all the records on Rotten Tomatoes. It earned 100% positive ratings on the platform. Thus, fans became more curious to learn about the future of Spy X Family Season 3. Surprisingly, an insider suggested that the third season was secretly announced. However, nothing much was known about the series until June 2024.

But over the weekend (June 9, 2024), Crunchyroll confirmed that Spy X Family Season 3 was happening. Yes, you read that right! The third season is finally on the cards, and fans will soon be able to enjoy it. The anime recently dropped the key visual, suggesting the third season will be bigger and better than its previous two seasons.

Official Annoucement!

On June 9, 2024, the Spy x Family anime made a surprisingly pleasant announcement. During an online event titled “Special Event SPY x FAMILY ANIME EXTRA MISSION,” the official shared the much-needed update. Spy X Family Season 3 is officially in production! The anime’s official account took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share a fantastic poster drawn by series character designer Kazuaki Shimada.

The key visual put psychic Anya Forger in the center, focusing on her close bond with Forger’s pet dog, Bond. In the image, the pink-haired psychic can be seen resting on Bond in a messy, dark room. The image also highlights that the scene is from the afternoon, where all sorts of things like books, cushions, pens, and an afternoon tea set are littered everywhere. But the best part of the scene is when Yor and Loid peek into the room, hinting at the family’s bond getting stronger every season.

Meanwhile, creator Tatsuya Endo shared, “We look forward to everyone’s continued support with season three.” Soon, many fans flooded the comment section with love and support. A fan commented, “Thank you, I’m really looking forward to it.” Another congratulated Endo for receiving the third season. The person added, “The picture is a star!”

Who Will Produce The Series?

The first season of Spy X Family was a masterpiece, and there’s no denying that. Kazuhiro Furuhashi directed the pilot season, while Takahiro Harada replaced him for the second season. It remains unclear whether Harada will return to direct the third season. That’s because the official announcement hasn’t yet announced anything about staff and cast details. Ichiro Okouchi replaced Furuhashi as scriptwriter for season 2. So, he might return for Spy X Family Season 3 as well.

Speaking of the studio behind the animation, WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks animated both seasons. WIT STUDIO was founded on June 1, 2012, and became known for producing Attack on Titan‘s first three seasons. Soon, the animation house received global recognition after dropping several successful hit animes, such as Vinland Saga Season 1, The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 1, Pokemon the Movie: The Power of Us, and Attack on Titan: Chronicle.

Meanwhile, CloverWorks was rebranded from A-1 Pictures on April 1, 2018. The animation house already had a huge name in the animation world. So far, it has produced various A-lister animes such as Darling in the Franxx, My Dress-Up Darling, and Bocchi the Rock! While the studio produced the first two seasons of Spy X Family, the official website hints that CloverWorks won’t return to produce Spy X Family Season 3.

However, WIT STUDIO is likely to return for the third season. The official website of WIT STUDIO hints that the studio house is currently developing the series. Since the series is under development, it doesn’t look like CloverWorks will join the Spy X Family Season 3 in the middle of its production.

Spy X Family Season 3: What To Expect Next?

The second season finale was an action-packed episode where Loid, Yor, and Anya Forger were on a cruise ship where Loid learned about the hidden bombs planted by an assassin informant. While Loid disarmed the bomb and distracted the rest of the ship members from the fireworks, Yor fought with assassins to protect her clients. However, during this time, Anya bonded with Loid. As for Forger’s patriarch, he learned more about Yor and how much he missed her.

Since the second season concluded the WISE Arc, Spy X Family Season 3 is expected to continue from where it left off. Anya will attempt to befriend Desmond’s son, Damian. So, undoubtedly, the third season will focus on the Friendship Schemes Arc. In the twelfth story arc, Anya will try her best to become friends with Damian. While her tricks start to work, Yor will become friends with a strange woman.

However, this friendship will help Loid continue with Operation Strix. Now, seeing how things move to such a level will be interesting. But one thing to remember is that Spy X Family Season 3 will be a continuation of the featured film Spy X Family Code: White. So, if you haven’t watched it yet, don’t miss it. The feature film will act as the bridge between the second and third seasons.

More From Spy X Family

While fans were waiting for Spy X Family Season 3, WIT STUDIO surprised everyone with a feature film. A movie inspired by the anime was released in theaters in April 2024. The movie focused more on Loid and Anya’s blossoming bond. In the film, Loid helps Anya make a perfect meal for her principal. This is the only way to win a cooking competition at Anya’s school, Eden Academy. Amid this, Loid has a mission to follow. He doesn’t want to get replaced on Operation Strix.

So, Forgers decides to travel to the origin of the meal. However, the journey turns out chaotic for them, and a series of events threaten the world’s fate. Now, Loid needs to act smartly to deal with the situation and avoid exposing himself before Anya. While the film hit a couple of months ago, it has already broken all the records. The movie received positive ratings from fans and critics. It gained 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. Besides this, the film is currently available on Hulu and Crunchyroll. So, don’t miss it.

Is Spy X Family Worth Watching?

There’s no denying that Spy X Family has a huge fanbase. The anime is an adaptation of Tatsuya Endo’s manga of the same name. It started serializing in March 2019 and is currently ongoing. Not only this, but the manga has 13 tankobon volumes as of March 2024 and over 35 million copies in circulation. Besides this, Spy X Family became the best-selling manga series of all time. So there’s no denying the manga has a huge popularity.

As for the anime, before it debuted, it was winning. Even critics stated that the anime was more detailed, with large chunks of action at the end. Many were also glad to see more of Yor in the animation. While the series received huge fandom, many Reddit users appreciated the anime. A Reddit user stated, “It’s a very good anime. Even my normie friend watched it with his family. I jean the first episode was all it took to become one of the most popular shows.”

Spy X Family Season 3 Release Date

The studio house has just dropped the key visual of the third season. The anime is currently under production and will take almost a year and more to wrap up. Considering this, we expect Spy X Family Season 3 to be released sometime in 2025. However, it might get delayed considering the busy schedule of WIT STUDIO. But don’t fret. We will update you. ##My Dress-Up Darling Season 2: Key Visual Hints At Early Release Date

While fans waited to hear more about Marin Kitagawa and Wakana Gojo, animation director Jun Yamazaki surprised everyone with a much-needed update. There’s no denying that fans have been waiting to hear more of My Dress-Up Darling Season 2. But it’s been two years, and neither the studio house nor Mangaka has commented anything about its sophomore run. It left many to wonder whether their favorite rom-com series will ever return. But don’t worry! We have delightful news for the avid anime watchers.

Based on the Japanese manga of the same name, My Dress-Up Darling follows two high school students who cross paths at a strange series of events. Wakana Gojo, a social introvert, always tries to hide his passion for crafting hina dolls from his classmates. However, a beautiful encounter encourages him to follow his passion and create cosplay costumes for Marin. This slice-of-drama series explores more of the pair’s bonding in every episode. With Marin’s support, Gojo gains confidence in his design.

My Dress-Up Darling Season 2: Is It Renewed?

The TV anime adaptation surprised fans with its light rom-com nature earlier in 2022. As soon as it hit our screens, the series quickly became one of the most popular animes ever in history. Well, there’s no denying that. That’s because the high school rom-com has a separate fanbase. But surprisingly, My Dress-Up Darling was far from being a cliched high school story. It brought a new perspective, and fans loved it too. The pilot seasons quickly received eight solid stars on IMDb and 77% on Rotten Tomatoes.

While fans weren’t surprised by the ratings, they secretly wished for My Dress-Up Darling Season 2. Surprisingly, their wish was granted as the finale hinted at its return. During a special event in Japan, Aniplex announced that the series is back with another season. The official announcement stated that My Dress-Up Darling will return with a sequel anime project. However, fans remained confused about whether the anime would return as a featured film or a sophomore run. That’s because the announcement shared little about the sequel project.

Besides this, the event also shared a teaser clip highlighting the best moments of the pilot season. While it didn’t share what to expect next from the anime, it did reveal that the sophomore run is on its way. Fans can check the short teaser video above.

My Dress-Up Darling Season 2: Production Status

Fans have been head over heels for the anime since its debut. That’s why they eagerly await when the series will return for another season. As soon as the official announcement was made, the official website shared that My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 was in production. That’s brilliant news, right? But wait! Although the official website has announced that the anime is under production, it’s been two years, and we haven’t heard anything about the following season.

CloverWorks, the studio house behind the animation, is busy with other big projects. This has definitely created problems for Season 2 of My Dress-Up Darling. The official website suggests that CloverWorks is currently working on big banner projects. These are Wind Breaker, Black Butler: Public School Arc, The Elusive Samurai, I May Be A Guild Receptionist, and Unite Up! Uni: Birth.

Crunchyroll

There’s no sign of My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 for its 2024 lineup. So, considering this, we expect the anime will face more delay. Since the animation work takes almost a year or more, it’s likely that the sophomore run will return to production later this year. If this were the case, fans would have to wait longer to see their favorite characters back on screen.

Key Visual Teases Production Has Started

While fans were disheartened by the news that CloverWorks won’t return to animate the series this year, the animation director surprised them with jaw-dropping news. Jun Yamazaki recently took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a series of joyful updates with the fans. On June 6, 2024, Jun shared a new colored artwork of Marin Kitagawa. It features a bubbly Marin saying “Ohisa,” which means “long time no see.”

In addition to this, Jun Yamazaki captioned the drawing of Marin as a “rehabilitation” for him. As soon as the post reached My Dress-Up Darling fans, they quickly showered their love in the comment section. A reader questioned whether they had started working on My Dress-Up Darling Season 2. Another stated that they couldn’t wait for the second run. Yamazaki last confirmed that their Marin succubus artwork was finally turned into a figure, hinting fans can expect more from the anime.

My Dress-Up Darling Season 2: What Will Happen Next?

In the final episode, Marin sweetly confessed her feelings to a sleepy Gojo. As the series ended with their sweet confession, My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 will pick the pace from where it was left off. Marin will stay true to her feelings, undoubtedly bringing some changes between them. But will Gojo learn about his feelings for Marin? Well, there’s also a possibility that Gojo might have heard Marin’s sweet confession, which might have led them to come closer.

Crunchyroll

If the anime stays true to its source material, we will likely see more of Marin’s cosplay. It will also introduce some new cross-dressing characters like Amane. Well, Amane’s equation with Gojo has yet to be explored. Besides, My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 might cover the school festival arc. It will indeed be a massive shout-out to the duo’s work, and the pair will soon earn recognition from their classmates. Besides this, fans can also expect “sick” episodes from the manga.

Such a narration is a Shojo classic and will definitely bring more to the table. Gojo will be busy caring for sick Marin, which will bring them closer. Marin has already fallen for him, so this “sick” episode might help Gojo learn about his feelings for Marin. However, the biggest twist My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 can bring is introducing Gojo’s childhood friend, who traumatized him. This will indeed bring trouble down the road, but it will help Gojo and Marin bond closer.

Is There Enough Source Material?

My Dress-Up Darling is based on a Japanese manga series, Sono Bisuku Doru wa Koi o Suru. It is written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda. The manga started serializing in January 2018 in Square Enix’s Young Gangan and is currently ongoing. As of May 2024, the manga has been compiled into 13 volumes. Not only this, but the manga also broke its own record, as in 2024, it had over 11 million copies in circulation.

Crunchyroll

While the manga is ongoing, and there’s no sign of stopping, My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 is still out of reach. That’s because the first season adapted the initial five volumes. Although there are 13 volumes in total, returning with another season after season 2 will be challenging. But there’s more than enough material for season 2. Even if the series decides to go slow, it can return with a feature film after its second season wrap-up.

My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 Cast Details

The studio has yet to reveal the details of the staff and cast. However, we do know that animation studio CloverWorks will return to produce the anime. Jun Yamazaki, the animation director, will also return to the director’s seat. Besides that, we can expect some of the prominent members to return for My Dress-Up Darling Season 2. These are:

 • Marin Kitagawa – Hina Suguta

 • Gojo Wakana – Shoya Ishige

 • Sajuna Inui – Atsumi Tanezaki

 • Kaorou Gojo – Atsushi Ono

 • Shinju Inui – Hina Yomiya

The sophomore run has yet to announce the other prominent characters and cast members. We will update you shortly after learning the official announcement.

More From My Dress-Up Darling

While My Dress-Up Darling has created a buzz on the internet with its interesting storyline, there’s more to look after from the series. In May 2024, Comic Natalie shared an artwork of Marin dressed as a “Chinese-style waitress.” It was later revealed that My Dress-Up Darling is all set to launch the new collaboration cafe in Osaka and Tokyo. It will be named “My Dress-Up Darling Chinese Restaurant.” As per the official reports, the cafe is set to open in Ikebukuro’s Motto Cafe from August 1 to September 29, 2024. The cafe will hit Osaka’s Motto Cafe on October 9 and run till December 1, 2024.

 • My Dress-Up Darling Fanbook

Earlier in June 2024, Crunchyroll Store started pre-ordering the anime merchandise My Dress-Up Darling Official Anime Fanbook (Hardcover). While it’s set to release on September 24, 2024, Crunchyroll has already started its pre-order. The fanbook features 100 colorful pages of never-before-seen promotional art from mangaka Shinichi Fukuda. At the time of writing, the book cost $19.99. Well, it’s a discounted price. The original price was $24.99. Well, it’s a limited edition book featuring staff commentary on every episode and exclusive interviews with costume designers, character designers, series directors, scriptwriters, and lead voice actresses.

My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 Release Date

At the time of writing, the studio hasn’t yet wrapped up production. It remains unclear whether the production has just started or will start this summer. So, considering this, it’s hard to guess when the sophomore season will return. But if the anime undergoes production this year, then we can expect My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 to be released later in 2025. This is all for now. Stay with The Anime Daily for more such updates.

Redo Of Healer Season 2: Author Hints At Potential Season 2!

Since the anime Redo Of Healer debuted back in January 2021, it has been in hot water for various reasons. While the series received a mixed reaction, some are still clamoring for a Redo Of Healer Season 2. Will the anime get a second season despite its poor ratings? Well, chances are pretty low. That’s because the series failed to impress the global audience. Despite that, the light novel (from which the anime has been adapted) author hinted at the fate of the series. Does it mean there’s a chance for Season 2 of Redo of Healer? Let’s find out.

Based on the light novel series by Rui Tsukiyo, Redo of Healer is also known as Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi. The series is about Keyaru’s journey to revenge. After being sexually abused because of being a healing magician, the protagonist decides to take revenge on those who have done wrong with him. So, in order to take his revenge, he heals the Philosopher’s Stone and goes back four years into the past. While he aims to redo his past, it leads him to embark on a nasty journey.

Redo Of Healer Season 2: Is It Renewed Yet?

Unfortunately, not! The first season aired back in January 2021 and concluded on March 31, 2021. Despite the series receiving mixed ratings, some loved the anime a lot. Yet, it’s almost been three years since the production and anime committee haven’t said anything about Redo Of Healer Season 2. Is it still on the cards? Well, it’s likely possible that the anime has been shelved. That’s because it’s quite common in the anime industry to cancel the series just after one season.

Is Redo Of Healer Season 2 renewed or not official news and updates
Funimation

As for Redo Of Healer, being an Ecchi and dark fantasy show, it doesn’t stand a chance of returning. Being a risky project, it looks like the production committee won’t re-explore the show. However, the show has a loyal fanbase. This might help the production team to return with Redo Of Healer Season 2. That can be reflected in the series’ reception; the first season only gained 6.4/10 on IMDb and 6.3/10 on MyAnimeList. While the series failed on the performance level, there’s still hope for Season 2.

Why Is Studio TNK Not Returning With Redo Of Healer Season 2?

The sole reason for such delay is that the series received criticism from a global audience. The first season of Redo of Healer received a pool of hate from the critics as well as the audience for encouraging sexual misconduct. The anime’s theme revolves around the sexual abuse as the part of revenge. That’s why the series has been surrounded by extreme criticism even three years after its debut. Many fans also believe that the anime is a poor depiction of dark fantasy genres.

Well, Redo Of Healer isn’t the first dark fantasy series. There are plenty of such series available. However, the mere concept of the show has left fans to hate the series to their core. Yet, there are some loyal fanbases who wish to see Redo Of Healer Season 2. But the number of loyal fans is lower than that of haters. So, this backlash is the sole reason Studio TNK is not looking forward to returning with another season. But wait! There’s still hope for a sophomore run.

Last Hope For Season 2 Of Redo Of Healer

There’s hope for Redo Of Healer Season 2. If you remember, the same case occurred with World’s End Harem anime. After its pilot episode, the anime was removed from the broadcasting list as it had uncensored content. While such a backlash and setback was quite huge for the anime’s fate and reputation, it was later restored with minor changes. Just after the anime was shelved, Studio Gokumi decided to make some necessary changes.

The studio house made some changes to some scenes and dialogues. Studio Gokumi also cut off some ecchi content to let the anime fill the television slot. So, finally, the show returned to the broadcasting list. The same case might be followed with the Redo of Healer. Although the backlash from the haters is huge, the makers can take risks to create light-hearted dark fantasy series. This will eventually help them return with Redo of Healer Season 2.

However, one thing to note here is that Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi is merely based on sexual conduct and revenge storyline. So, if Studio TNK returns with some changes, it will take a lot of work to fulfill that. That’s because the Light Novel is entirely focused on harem content. This might be the reason behind the delay of the Redo Of Healer Season 2 renewal.

Author Hinted At Redo Of Healer’s Fate

While the series has received plenty of backlash for depicting gore and assault, fans are curious to see how things will be handled in Redo of Healer Season 2. This led many to question Rui Tsukiyo about the future of the series. Back on May 11, 2023, Rui took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share whether the anime will return with a second run. The author shared that many have questioned it regarding the second season.

However, it isn’t possible for him to reveal the future of the series. That’s because “it’s impossible for the authors to reveal information before the official media.” Rui added, “So follow the official accounts and keep an eye on them.” In order to get details about the second season, he requested that his fans keep an eye on the original account of the anime. Although Rui Tsukiyo hasn’t revealed whether the series will return with another season, he did tease that there’s hope for Redo Of Healer Season 2.

Is There Enough Source Material?

The anime is based on a light novel series that started serializing on October 24, 2017 and is currently ongoing. It started serializing on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website and has a total of 10 volumes. Despite the series having ten volumes, the adaptation pace of the anime was considerably slow. The first season only covered the first three volumes of the light novel. That means there are seven more volumes left to be covered in the next installment.

If Redo Of Healer Season 2 is renewed, then it’s likely that the show will cover Vol 4 to Vol 6. Despite covering three volumes, there will be enough source material left to be covered to return with more seasons. However, the fate of Redo Of Healer remains in jeopardy. While the studio house and production committee have yet to announce the series, the anime did help to grow LN and manga popularity . The LN has over 800,000 copies in print.

Funimation, Prime Video

But after the anime’s debut, manga and light novels’ popularity peaked, leading to increased digital sales. In fact, several volumes of the manga also topped Amazon Japan’s manga charts. This is enough to suggest that the studio house can reconsider its decision to return with Redo of Healer Season 2.

Redo Of Healer Season 2: What To Expect Next?

The first season is entirely based on the healing magician Keyaru’s journey. He had been working several odd jobs for a living. However, he later discovered that people were doing wrong with him. Instead of considering his healing powers seriously, they were using his body for their own pleasure. After doing this for a year, he realized that he needed to hit the break. While he lacks a plan of action, he discovers that healing magicians are actually high-class living beings.

As a result, he decided to polish his skills and take revenge on those who wronged him. He took a year to polish his magical powers and later healed the Philosopher’s Stone to travel back in time. Now that he had gotten a grip on his life, he was determined to take revenge on the people. The first season saw his determination to punish the people on his list. But his track list remained incomplete. This means Keyaru might return to resume his revenge plan in Redo Of Healer Season 2.

Prime Video

So that he can continue his plan; however, things won’t go according to his plan for the next season. That’s because this season will introduce a new villain, Bullet. Meanwhile, the authorities and King will also enter into the picture. After learning that most of the people are getting due to receiving their punishment, King will join the quest to take considerable actions. It will also show King’s connection with Keyaru’s revenge.

Redo Of Healer Season 2 Cast Details

Since the series revolves around Keyaru, he will definitely return to embark on his revenge journey. Besides him, we can also expect the other characters to return who did wrong to Keyaru in the past. These are the following who will return:

 • Keyaru – Yuya Hozumi

 • Keara – Yoko Hikasa

 • Flare Arlgrande Jioral – Ayano Shibuya

 • Setsuna – Shizuka Ishigami

 • Eve Reese – Natsumi Takamori

 • Bullet – Tetsu Inada

 • Proum Jioral -Takaya Hashi

Redo Of Healer Season 2 Release Date

Redo of Healer Season 2 confirmed news on release date updates
Funimation

As mentioned above, the anime has yet to be announced. However, if we consider the author’s words, it seems like the series will be renewed sooner rather than later. Since it’s an ecchi anime, it will take a couple of years to conclude production. If Studio TNK works on erasing several materials, then it will take a lot more time to wrap this up. Considering this, we believe Redo Of Healer Season 2 might be released sometime in 2026. This is all for now. Stay with The Anime Daily for more such updates.
