Great Star King (Hokuto no Ken, burned. “Great King), also known as Ken, Great Bear King
After the manga body was lost, Tetsuhara and Bronson wrote a manga based on Cursed City (呪縛の街 Jubaku no Machi), which was published by Jump Books in Japan in 1996. It was adapted into a three-part OVA called Fist Sulwe Manya. The year is 2003. The story takes place sometime after the manga ends.
In 2001, Tetsu Hara began working on a sequel to the series Blue Sky (蒼天の拳 Sōten no Ken), which is currently being published in weekly magazines. The story takes place in 1935 during the Second Sino-Japanese War, the story features the leader of Hokuto Shinkan and nicknamed Kenshiro, Kenshiro Kasumi.
The cover of Fist of the North Star tells us that the world was embroiled in an international nuclear war in 199X. After the war, the land was stripped of forests, the sea foamed and the population was thrown into chaos, turning everyday life into a struggle for unspoiled food and water, where the strong survived by exploiting the weak. But someone has promised to make a difference. Kenshiro is the 64th in line to the succession of Hokuto Shinken, a 1,800-year-old style of execution passed down from heir to chosen son. Kenshiro uses his wits and skills to protect the innocent from bloodthirsty robbers. Over the course of the series, Kenshiro gains more allies and allies, many of whom are also trained in various forms of martial arts.
Rao’s death marks the end of the first season of the series and the sequence goes back several years as Kane’s Bat and Lynn become adults. Kenshiro returns to help Bat and Lin overthrow the corrupt Jako, a corrupt Governor General who has usurped the throne of the Queen of Heaven and is forcing the rulers of the Gento Kokan (元斗皇拳, “Ling of the King of the Dipper King to commit his crimes”). After Jakoh's defeat, Lin is captured and exiled to part of the Asura Country (修羅の国 Ōshura no Kuni), a war-torn country now ruled by the Three Rashō (羅将, Asura Generals). The Hokuto brothers and the Shinken form of Hokuto appeared, as well as the existence of the unofficial Hokuto Ryōken form, a branch of the original Hokuto lineage.
After the defeat of Kaioh, Raoh's son Ryu is established as Kenshiro's apprentice and potential successor to Hokuto Shinken. After Kenshiro restores light to his two neighboring kingdoms, Sawa and Blanca, the last chapter focuses on the love triangle of Ken, Lin, and Bat.
