This new film, produced by P.A. WORKS, is the first film to featuire the new Hatsune Miku. The game is about high school students finding their true feelings through music.

The film starts where Ichika meets the “New Miku”. Ichika is a high school musician who plays in a band. No matter how hard this new Miku tries to sing, her songs can’t touch the hearts of her listeners. Miku starts to find a way to sing by relying on others’ help.

The film begins with the opening song  “The Future of Beginning (Hajimari no Mirai)” produced by 40mP and sasakure.UK, and for the ending song “Worlders” by JIN and TeddyLoid, which will be sung by 26 characters from the original game. Next on our pre-order list is a film that we know many of you have been dying to own since seeing it in the cinema, and rightly so – it’s certainly one of our favourite animated movies of recent years. We are of course talking about Naoko Yamada’s The Colors Within, which gets its much-deserved Collector’s Edition treatment this August, and it’s one you won’t want to miss.

“Totsuko is a high school student with the ability to see the ‘colours’ of others. Colours of bliss, excitement, and serenity, plus a colour she treasures as her favourite. Kimi, a classmate at her school, gives off the most beautiful colour of all.

Although she doesn’t play an instrument, Totsuko forms a band with Kimi and Rui, a quiet music enthusiast they meet at a used bookstore in a far corner of town. As they practice at an old church on a remote island, music brings them together, forming friendships and stirring affections. Will they discover their true ‘colours’?”

Within that suitably colourful rigid slipcase you’ll find two Amaray cases, which include not only the film itself on Blu-ray and DVD, but also a full-blown exclusive bonus Blu-ray packed to the brim with an incredible array of bonus content including director interviews, scene break-downs and much more!

And that’s not all – we’ve also managed to squeeze the film’s Original Soundtrack on CD into the package too, giving you a whole other format to use to listen to Amen, I’m Going Somewhere on repeat.

Also within you’ll find a set of three art cards, as well as a 52-page booklet with all manner of director, cast and crew interviews alongside artwork from the film.

NARUTO Collector’s Edition Set 4

Speaking of filling boxes earlier on, it’s time…. time to complete your original NARUTO Blu-ray set! July is the time to pre-order this fourth and final Collector’s Edition set (or parts 7 and 8 on Standard Edition Blu-ray if you prefer), to bring this instalment of our favourite ninja’s story to a close.

“Disaster strikes the Village Hidden in the Leaves when Ichiraku Ramen is mysteriously closed! Ayame’s been kidnapped, and if Naruto and Choji want their noodles, they’ll have to save her first! Then, the sea rages with fury as Naruto faces a briny behemoth of epic proportions. Can his ninja training save him? And finally, the action heads to the Village Hidden in the Stars as Naruto and Neji’s team tracks down a legendary item of great power!”

If you’ve been keeping up with the first three Collector’s Edition sets, you’ll find no surprises here – this release contains the final episodes of the series across its eight Blu-rays stored in two Amarays, and a 32-page booklet within that rigid slipcase. If you’ve picked up our AllTheAnime.com exclusive Collector’s Edition Set 1 with the bonus storage box, then this will sit snugly inside to complete the series!

Here’s a look at both sides of this Part 4 slipcase for your enjoyment too…

Finally, here’s a glimpse at our part 7 and 8 Blu-ray case designs for you!

Before you all ask in the comments, allow us to predict your question: “What about NARUTO Shippuden?” Well, we don’t have anything to say about that just yet, but work is already very much underway on this continuation of the series, so we hope to have some more that we can say and show to you soon. As always, watch this space!

I’m Quitting Heroing Collector’s Edition

To round out the month of July, let’s delve into some fantasy, and a series which is always one missing character away from me sounding like I’m an extra in Trainspotting

“After defeating the Demon King, former hero Leo Demonheart is learning that he was just a little too good at what he did, to the point that many now suspect that his real goal was to become the Demon King himself. Which, given that his name is Demonheart and he was created as part of a secret project, is perhaps not as far-fetched as it sounds, but now nobody wants to employ him, and a former hero has still got to eat. So, he applies for a job with the Demon King Echidna herself… but she doesn’t want him either. Fortunately, some of her subordinates are more appreciative of his skills, and if he wears a disguise, he might just get away with becoming the new bad boy on the block after deciding I’M QUITTING HEROING!”

We’re still polishing off our final approvals for this one so we’ll be revealing the packaging in full very soon, but for now here’s your first look at the front of the slipcase design.

Within this, you can expect to find, an Amaray containing the full series (plus two OVA episodes) spread over two Blu-ray discs, plus a 56-page art book, featuring character and prop artwork, art boards and key animation from the series.

Pre-orders open for this AllTheAnime.com store exclusive Collector’s Edition from 31st July, with a trade-wide standard edition Blu-ray also available.

Product: I’m Quitting Heroing Standard Edition Blu-ray

That brings us to the end of another month (and technically into August) – be sure to let us know what you’re excited about from this month’s selection of pre-orders! As mentioned, we still have a little more left in our knapsack for this month that we’re keeping our powder dry on, so watch out on all of the usual channels for more there in due course!

Plus, of course there’s plenty more in the pipeline, so we’ll be keeping you updated on more over the coming months as always. Until next time, take care!

NEWSWIRE: June 2025 Pre-Orders

Yes, yes, we know it’s almost half-way through June already, but look – MCM Comic Con was a busy time for us, so we needed a little space to rest, recuperate and get to working on some of the exciting projects we announced during the show!

On which note, it was great to see so many of you at London Comic Con, whether on our stand or at our panels – whether you couldn’t make it or you swung by to say hi, we hope we get to see you when we return in October!

©Nanaki Nanao, Shogakukan/Helck Production Committee

Anyway, with those pleasantries out of the way, let’s get down to business to defeat the Huns to announce what’s coming your way on our AllTheAnime.com store this June!

Violet Evergarden Vinyl Soundtrack

Let’s start with a big and highly anticipated release, and the latest edition to our ever-growing vinyl label, as Evan Call’s emotional masterpiece of a soundtrack for Violet Evergarden makes its way to 12″ LP!

“Anime Limited are delighted to present the complete original soundtrack to the beloved Netflix anime Violet Evergarden.

This release includes the full original soundtrack to the series, packed with evocative and heart-rending compositions from Evan Call (Frieren, Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, My Happy Marriage) which accentuate the show’s delicate and poignant tale of a young woman on her journey to understand love and what it means.”

Our strictly limited Deluxe Edition set features the complete soundtrack across 3x 12″ black vinyl LPs, stored within a rigid case with each disc housed in its own sleeve adorned with spectacular artwork from the series. Also included within this edition is a 32-page liner note booklet, containing lyrics as well as a number of interviews featuring composer Evan Call and various other members of the series’ production cast and crew. Finally, each copy also contains a serialised and individually numbered card in keeping with the theme of the series.

BLEACH Collector’s Edition Set 2

Have you completed and filled your first Collector’s Edition box of BLEACH yet? We will be running spot checks later….

Anyway, whether you have yet or not, there’s no rest for us substitute Soul Reapers (well, third-team reserve Soul Reapers really), as we’ve been hard at work to bring you our second collector’s set of the original series, alongside our Part 6 standard edition as Ichigo’s adventures continue apace!

“The Soul Reapers’ battle continues to rage as Ichigo and his friends manage to drive off Grimmjow and the rest of the Arrancars. But with this fight over, a new threat emerges as Orihime is taken hostage by Sosuke Aizen. Will Ichigo, Uryu and Chad be able to defeat the Arrancars’ most powerful fighters—the Espada—and rescue her from Aizen’s stronghold of Las Noches in Hueco Mundo?

If you did indeed pick up our first BLEACH Collector’s set, you know the general drill here – Collector’s Set 2 contains Part 6 of the series, but ships in a large (and glorious) rigid slipcase which also holds space to house parts 7, 8 and 9 of the series as and when they go on sale over the coming months. So yes, this set will only store four volumes of the series, but otherwise follows that same strategy as Set 1.

Also included in this Collector’s Edition set is another art book, clocking in at 104 pages and filled with artwork from the relevant story arcs in question, while Part 6 housed within the case contains episodes 140-167 of the series across four discs, as well as a set of three character art cards which is exclusive to the first print run of this particular volume.

Want a closer look at the slipcase artwork? Here you go!

Pre-orders open tomorrow, June 12th for both Collector’s Edition Set 2 and Part 6, so ready yourselves!

As a final teaser on Bleach, you’re probably curious about what Parts 7, 8 and 9 of the series will look like as they’re added to your collection, so because we’re feeling generous here’s a sneak preview for you.

Expect to see pre-orders opening for each of these volumes over the coming months!

Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045 Season 2 Collector’s Edition

Ghost in the Shell is a hot topic in anime circles once again at the moment, so what better time than to complete Kenji Kamiyama’s return to the franchise with the second half of Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045?

“As the Simultaneous Global Default plunges the world into a never-ending war orchestrated by AI, humanity remains unaware of the extent of the threat.

Reactivated under the Prime Minister’s secret orders, Section 9 hunts for Takashi Shimamura, a suspected post-human. During this mission, Togusa mysteriously disappears, prompting Motoko Kusanagi and her team to travel to a ruined Tokyo.

There, they confront the N refugee group and an American intervention unit. As a hijacked nuclear submarine threatens to spark a global conflict, the clash between Section 9, American forces, and the post-humans intensifies…”

This latest UK/US release from our home video pipeline closely follows the design and format of our Season 1 release, with its twelve episodes split across two Blu-ray discs. Packed within the rigid outer slipcase you’ll find a Digipak to hold those discs in its loving embrace, while also included inside are a set of four art cards and an A3 poster. Topping off this fantastic Collector’s Edition is a 100-page art book, which we’ve packed cover-to-cover with ending illustration art; character, background and mech design work; lighting boards; and an illustration gallery.

You can see both sides of that rigid slipcase below.

Pre-orders for this Collector’s Edition open on Thursday 19th June – be sure to grab your copy and see how (and if) the never-ending war against AI ends… if you dare!

Helck Season 1 Collector’s Edition

HELCK! I need somebody….

HELCK! Not just anybody….

HELCK! You know I need someone… HEEEEELCK

I’m so sorry, I have a disease where I sometimes can’t help but shoehorn anime titles into Beatles songs, and this one was just too easy.

“The tournament to replace the recently vanquished Demon Lord has begun, but overseer Vermilio suspects that one of the contestants, Helck, is not what he seems. Why? Because he’s human, just like the Hero who killed the last Demon Lord.

Yes, the big brute claims to hate his own kind, but is he telling the truth? Or is this a sinister plot against demon kind? And even when Vermilio manipulates the games against him, Helck keeps winning, forcing her to become more personally involved in both the games and the mysteries surrounding its frontrunner. She must know. She must find out. What secrets lurk in the past of HELCK?”

Our Collector’s Edition of this fantasy adventure series contains the complete 24-episode series across three Blu-ray discs, stored in an Amaray case which itself lives inside our traditional rigid slipcase, along with its best friends “four character art cards” and “folded A3 poster”.

GET A FIRST LOOK AT SEASON 2 OF SCIENCE SARU’S HIT SERIES IN CINEMAS THIS JUNE – TICKETS ON SALE NOW

Glasgow, UK, 8th May 2025 – The critically lauded and wildly popular DAN DA DAN returns for a new chapter, following the first season’s conclusion in December 2024. In celebration of the return of DAN DA DAN, this premiere event exclusive to cinemas, releasing as DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE, kicks off the thrillingly eerie EVIL EYE arc, which began in the last episode of the first season.

This one-night only preview event takes place on Friday 6th June, and screens last season’s start of the EVIL EYE arc, along with the first three episodes of the new second season, in addition to an exclusive interview with series co-directors Fuga Yamashiro and Abel Gongora. Tickets are on sale now – for a full list of screenings, check dandadan.alltheanime.com

The first season of DAN DA DAN was a global breakout series of 2024. The blistering and genre-bending sci-fi comedy romance garnered widespread critical and audience acclaim for its fantastic animation, sharp writing, and endearing characters. The first season’s opening theme song “Otonoke” from the hit duo Creepy Nuts became a social media phenomenon, and the series has enjoyed all manner of critical acclaim, with global audiences eagerly awaiting the show’s return.

DAN DA DAN is a television adaptation of author Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga of the same name, which is currently serialized in the massively popular “Shonen Jump Plus” by SHUEISHA, under the globally beloved Shonen Jump imprint. Yukinobu Tatsu previously worked as an assistant to acclaimed author Tatsuki Fujimoto on his global hit series “Chainsaw Man” and “Fire Punch,” and Yuji Kaku on “Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku.” The original manga series recently crossed 10 million in sales, more than doubling its circulation following the global success of animated series.

Synopsis:

DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE follows Momo, a feisty high schooler descended from spirit mediums, and her eccentric occult-obsessed classmate Okarun into a wild new arc of mystery and mayhem. This time, the duo heads to a mysterious hot springs town, staying at a house rented by Jiji — Momo’s childhood friend and former crush — to uncover the dark secrets haunting his family. But their paranormal investigation goes off the rails fast, as bizarre locals and eerie phenomena derail their plans.

What they discover is far beyond anything they were prepared for…

Adapted from the smash-hit manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, DAN DA DAN is a genre-bending thrill ride — a supernatural rom-com bursting with action, horror, and heart. In EVIL EYE, co-directors Fuga Yamashiro and Abel Gongora (Science SARU) deliver a visually explosive new chapter, amped up with a killer original score by Kensuke Ushio (Chainsaw Man).

DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE will be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on Friday 6th June, in Japanese with English subtitles.

What’s the greatest episode of NARUTO of all-time? YOU decide

Ever since launching pre-orders for the first part of the series back last summer, we’ve really loved seeing the enthusiasm from generations of NARUTO fans about our releases, and of course, the series in general.

This has in turn led to some heated in-office discussions? Whose the best character in NARUTO? What are the best story arcs? If you were stranded on a desert island with only one episode of NARUTO to watch for the rest of your days, which one would it be?

Well, we figured that it’s about time to get some answers to these questions, and for that we’ll need your help – that’s right NARUTO fans, it’s time for you to decide once and for all and help us answer that seemingly impossible question – what’s the best episode of NARUTO ever created?

©2002 MASASHI KISHIMOTO

Grab your headbands, and read on to find out how you can make your opinion heard!

Vote now for your favourite episode!

Our plan is quite simple – for the next two weeks, we’re opening voting for you to decide which episode of NARUTO is your personal favourite.

You’ll be able to vote in a number of ways:

Voting is open now, and will run until 12PM (UK time) on Wednesday 21st May, so be sure to get your vote in!

How voting works

Rather than simply ask for you to pick from one of 800 episodes and the chaos that would cause, we’ve broken our voting down into two categories, with four choices within each category, hand-selected from a shortlist of some of the show’s greatest moments. Here are your options:

CATEGORY 1: BEST FIGHT

For all of the deep and impactful character moments throughout the series, sometimes all you want to see is some breath-taking ninja fisticuffs, and we wanted to celebrate this by picking out some prime episodes that showcase some of the most incredible battles that NARUTO has to offer. Your voting choices in this category are as follows:

  1. Rock Lee vs Gaara (Naruto – Episode 48 – “Gaara vs. Rock Lee: The Power of Youth Explodes!”)
  2. Shikamaru vs Temari (Naruto – Episode 64 – “Zero Motivation: The Guy with Cloud Envy!“)
  3. Naruto vs Pain (Naruto Shippuden – Episode 167 – “Chibaku Tensei”)
  4. Kakashi vs. Obito (Naruto Shippuden – Episode 375 – “Kakashi vs. Obito”)

CATEGORY 2: BEST CHARACTER EPISODE

We all have our favourite character, so we also wanted to celebrate this by picking some of the most popular moments from NARUTO’s greatest characters – here’s our shortlist of incredible episodes featuring iconic characters at their best.

  1. Naruto (Naruto – Episode 78 – “Naruto’s Ninja Handbook”)
  2. Rock Lee (Naruto – Episode 124 – “The Beast Within”)
  3. Sakura (Naruto Shippuden – Episode 26 – “Puppet Fight: 10 vs 100!”)
  4. Sasuke (Naruto Shippuden – Episode 137 – “Amaterasu!”)

Place one vote in each category, and you’ve played your part in this storied franchise’s history – let’s see if other NARUTO fans agree with your choices! Be sure to share the news far and wide to your friends and fellow NARUTO fans – there are no restrictions on who can vote, so let’s poll every fan that we can together!

The winners will be revealed at MCM London Comic Con

So, once the voting is done, what happens next? Well, we’ve arranged for the results to be unveiled during MCM London Comic Con, where we’ll be introducing and hosting a screening to reveal your votes and confirm the winners!

The screening event takes place on Saturday 24th May between 12:00PM – 1:30PM at the screening room in the Platinum Suite – as well as introducing the event, we’ll be screening three episodes for you to enjoy… the winners of our two categories, plus the highest-scoring runner up.

That’s three of the best episodes of NARUTO ever, back-to-back, what more could you ask for? “Goodies and giveaways to attendees” you say? Sure – if you can make it to the screening then we’ve got you covered there too, so don’t miss out!

©2002 MASASHI KISHIMOTO

We will of course also be sharing the results on social media, but you’ll find out at MCM Comic Con first, so we can’t wait for you to join us, and we’ll see you all there to celebrate the genius that is NARUTO!

Project A-KO Collector’s Edition

We know how much you love it when we dive into the world of classic anime, and it doesn’t get much more classic than this – that’s right, it’s time for the seminal OVA Project A-KO to make it to the UK on Blu-ray!

“Earth. The not too distant future. A city is miraculously reborn just sixteen years after being completely destroyed by a giant meteor. At the prestigious Graviton High School for Girls, two new students are introduced. A-ko and her ditzy sidekick C-ko.

A-ko is a normal seventeen year old… except for the superhuman strength that lies within her. B-ko, a spoiled, brilliant daughter of a rich business tycoon, wants C-ko for herself. And what B-ko wants, she usually gets. Except this time A-ko is standing in the way. The action explodes across this unsuspecting city as the invincible A-ko battles B-ko and her army of giant mechs and powered bikini supersuit. At the same time, a mysterious alien spacecraft with an unknown mission makes its way towards the city.”

If all of the above sounds very serious and important… well, it’s not.

We’ve blended old and new with our slipcase artwork for this 1986 classic, inside of which lives an Amaray containing the OVA on Blu-ray. Also included is a 12-page booklet with a comprehensive article from Dr. Jonathan Clements, exploring the birth and creation of the piece and how it ended up leading to a row with Hayao Miyazaki, amongst other things…

This spring we’ll be doing a few things a little differently to past seasonal sales, so we wanted to take a moment to run you through what to expect when the sale launches on Friday 11th April at 5PM UK time, and every day from that point forth until it ends at 5PM on April 22nd. If you want to prepare yourself accordingly, read on!

Join the Easter Egg hunt!

Is there anything better than hunting through all of the great deals on show on our online store during a sale? Well, how about hunting through our products and bagging yourself the opportunity to nab a very limited and decidedly valuable store discount code!

This spring, we’ll be celebrating the time honoured tradition of the Easter egg hunt, by planting eggs around the product listings available in our Spring Sale. Each egg will be emblazoned with a letter – collect all six, unjumble the anagram into a suitably seasonal letter, and you have yourself a discount that you can use at checkout!

This discount code will be limited to only the first 20 people to use it, so you’ll need to be a fast hunter, and keep the code to yourself – if you’re successful, you’ve just unlocked yourself a single use discount code for 30% OFF your order!

The hunt begins at the same time as the sale commences – that is, at 5PM on Friday April 11th.

Good luck, City Egg Hunter!

Daily Flash Sales

Once you’ve recovered your breath from the Easter Egg hunt, you’ll want to prepare yourself for what we have to offer next – we know a lot of you have loved our experiments with flash sales in previous seasonal sales, so this spring we’re bringing you a daily Flash Deal to explore, enjoy and add to your collection!

Each daily deal begin at 5PM will last for 24 hours – it might be a single product, or a bundle at a discounted price, but whatever the subject of our offer we know you want to miss it, so set your alarm daily so see what’s newly up for grabs!

Our Daily Flash Sales will commence from day two of the sale, so the first one will arrive at 5PM on Saturday April 12th and then every day moving forward until the sale reaches its conclusion.

Buy One Get One Free

Speaking of popular sale strands, we know you folks can’t get enough of our Buy One Get One Free deals, so of course they return as always for our spring sale. We don’t really need to explain the concept of this to you, it’s right there in the title, but if you’re looking for some great additions to your anime collection then there aren’t many better ways to get them! We’ll be running a Buy One Get One Free offer across our Standard Edition Blu-ray range for the entire duration of the sale, so get to browsing as soon as it launches!

Collector’s Edition Deals

If showing off some cool Collector’s Edition products is more your speed, then of course we have you covered there too, with some great savings and discounts across selected Collector’s Editions… and maybe an Ultimate Edition or two at eye-catching prices into the bargain!

Early Bird Redux

Last but certainly not least, we’ll also be returning a bunch of our recent releases to their Early Bird prices for the duration of the sale! So, if there are any shiny new items that you missed out on over the past few months, this is your opportunity to grab them at their initial pre-order prices for this limited period so you don’t feel left behind.

And with that, you’re up to speed and set for our next big sale – we can’t wait for you to join us to browse our offers and pick up some great anime to enjoy this spring!

I’m Standing on a Million Lives Collector’s Edition

Whether or not you’re fan of those warmer spring days, there’s always time for a quick trip to another world, so we kick off our announcements with a touch isekai dark fantasy atop one decidedly large pile of humans.

“Aloof and logical middle school third-year Yusuke Yotsuya is transported to a game-like alternate world. He becomes a third player and takes on a dangerous quest with his classmates Iu Shindo and Kusue Hakozaki, who were transported there earlier. The cold Yusuke eschews emotionalism and examines all elements with detachment, sometimes even toying with the lives of his companions. Can he protect his party from attacking monsters, difficult incidents, and powerful scheming enemies and win the game?”

First of all, can we just take a moment to admire that slipcase? I mean, just how eye-catchingly incredible is it? And not just because it reminds us a little of Kraftwerk’s The Man-Machine.

If you’re able to tear your eyes off this design and actually open up the product, you’ll find an Amaray case containing the complete 24-episode series across three Blu-ray discs, as well as a 32-page booklet containing two bonus manga chapters for the series, comments from the original author of the series’ source material, and a series of interviews and insights on the show’s production from the cast.

You don’t need to stand on anyone to own your copy of this gorgeous edition – simply make sure you’re ready to pre-order on April 3rd!

BLEACH Part 5 Blu-ray

Next, it’s time to fill your first BLEACH Collector’s Edition set, with our Part 5 Blu-ray slotting beautifully and smoothly into that lovely box. Doesn’t it feel good to complete something?

“As Ichigo fears the growing strength of the Hollow within him, the Soul Society detects an attack on the World of the Living by Arrancars—Hollows with Soul Reaper powers created by the traitor Sosuke Aizen! Ichigo rushes to the aid of his friends, but his Hollow interferes. Can Ichigo master his inner self in time to help defeat the threat of the Arrancars? And who are the mysterious Visoreds who are interested in recruiting him?”

As per previous parts, our first print run of this standard edition release will feature a set of bonus card cards! Meanwhile, in keeping with the other volumes you’ll find the Amaray case sporting an O-card, and within is a set of four discs containing episodes 112-139.

After this volume of the series, we’ll be taking a brief respite from our releases of the series for a few months to ensure that our next Collector’s Edition Set (which will be designed to hold parts 6-9 of the show) and its contents are all ready to go, before we continue apace with bringing you Ichigo’s adventures!

Woodpecker Detective’s Office Collector’s Edition

Next on our list is a mystery acquisition… no really, it’s a mystery series based on a novel! If you’re anything like us, you love a good head-scratching mysterious case, and this series delivers in spades…

“It is the end of the Meiji Era. The genius poet Ishikawa Takuboku, who’s struggling financially, starts a detective business out of his lodging in response to a certain murder case. He calls it the Woodpecker Detective’s Office. “The ghosts of the Twelve-Story Tower in Asakusa,” “the man-eating figure who wanders the streets on snowy nights”…

Takuboku involves himself in one bizarre case after another with his hometown acquaintance, Kindaichi Kyosuke, as his assistant.”

We really enjoyed capturing the Meiji era vibe of the series in our Collector’s Edition release, and we hope it shows! This edition of the series sports a rigid slipcase, inside of which you’ll find an Amaray containing the two Blu-ray discs. Also within that slipcase you’ll find a set of four character art cards, as well as an A3 poster to round things off.

We’ll also be making this series available in the US, so look out for this title through one of our US partners in the near future too!

Vlad Love Blu-ray

It’s not every day we get to release a title from a director as iconic and important as Mamoru Oshii, but today we’re very excited to confirm that we’re bringing Vlad Love to Blu-ray in both the UK and the USA!

If you want to see one of your favourite anime directors exploring absurdist comedy (with bonus vampire!), then step right up…

“Mitsugu Bamba is a high school girl who is crazy about donating her blood, to the point that she feels compelled to visit a local blood bank despite the unfriendly nurse. One day, Mitsugu encounters a beautiful girl there who looks like she has come from overseas. The girl is so pale that she appears ready to faint. Instead, she suddenly starts trashing the blood bank. The girl then loses consciousness and so Mitsugu takes her home…”

If ever a cover might tell you of the kind of random insanity you’re in for, this might just be it. We’ll be releasing the full series on Standard Edition Blu-ray across two discs, and our early bird pre-orders on our webshop opens on 15th April.

Watch out for US pre-orders also opening with one of our partners there soon!

A Destructive God Sits Next to Me Collector’s Edition

We’re sticking with comedy to close out our month, with another brand-new acquisition to surprise and delight both UK and US audiences – it’s time to enjoy some high school hijinks with a decidedly oddball cast of characters in A Destructive God Sits Next to Me!

High school student Koyuki Seri has a disposition for whipping out witty retorts… but hates people who wait for those retorts! Much to his dismay, he had caught the eye of Hanadori Kabuto, who suffers from a terrible case of delusions of grandeur and everything about him could warrant a retort. Seri swears that he will never utter a retort about Kabuto, but he just can’t hold back. Not to mention, there seem to be even more strange people gathering around him… A high school boys’ comedy that’ll make you laugh and laugh (but can also be cute at times) is about to start!”

In keeping with the nature of the series, cute and colourful is the order of the day for our Collector’s Edition release. With a rigid slipcase storing the series and its two-disc Amaray case, you’ll also find contained inside a set of four art cards alongside an A3 poster.

Pre-orders launch on 17th April on our webshop, with US pre-orders also launching soon through one of our partners!

To round out the month, we’ve got a fascinating title that has been somewhat overlooked for you, in the form of Hero=Mask!

“Are a deadly bombing and the murder of a special investigator linked to the actions of the huge international security company LIVE? Ordered to investigate, Detective James Blood of the Special Service of Crime quickly discovers far more than just a conspiracy.

There’s a new technology on the street: masks as thin as paper that grant the wearer a special ability. One mask grants the ability to change your face, another sharpens your senses. But the abilities come at a steep cost: years off their users’ lives! Together with assistant attorney Sarah Sinclair, Blood must unearth the secrets behind the masks and their connection to LIVE’s mysterious founder. But the clock is ticking down and James and Sarah may already be living on borrowed time.”
